Re: HP 8050A cal info wanted
I know this thread is ancient history, but I actually cut my teeth on a pair of these 8050A analyzers. Hollywood Sound Systems had a pair of them when I started there in 1977 and I took at least one on every gig I did for years.
Nowadays I use Smaart Live in FFT mode. But those were the days.
Re: HP 8050A cal info wanted
I found the documentation on it.
Anyone needing it can contact me.
Re: HP 8050A cal info wanted
I seem to remember paying $10,000. for my HP8050A...
Used to purchase it a seat on the airlines as I would not let baggage guys handle it...
Re: HP 8050A cal info wanted
Hi frank,
Do you recall what mic(s) you used with it?
Re: HP 8050A cal info wanted
Been too long to remember...Take a look at the Shure spec sheet including all the footnotes on their ES 615 microphone...
Footnote on spec sheet discusses using with the HP 8050...
Looks like it might fit the bill rather nicely

I doubt if Syn-Aud-Con would have it - my guess is that the Davis' do.
Not sure why the new edition doesn't have Carolyn's name on it - she has the BEST set of ears in the business!
