Celephane Vain - anyone got them?

Heard a bit about this band but never heard them so if anyone can hlp out, thanks.

I've now listened to the first 8 tracks and I have to say this is my kinda sound, I love it. Few bands ever get me on first listen maybe Alleycat Scratch, Penny Lane, Erotic Suicide but this just hit the mark. If anyone can suggest similar bands I'd love to know.

Bang Gang? Do you have them?

Yeah I have Vaity Kills and possibly one other.

Ian I just have Vanity Kills so if you have the other, excellent bro or anything else by Celaphane Vain. The one Carl sent has 10 tracks and begins with fits like a glove.

I'm sure someone here (possibly Adrenaline Junkie) said they had more stuf by CV.

The Celfain Vain stuff I have is the same as what u have just received mate. Wasn't it the Australain Girl (sorry but I've forgotton her name ) who had more stuff by them & put em up on gmail drive. Bang Gangs 1st one I'll get out to ya Grant. Check with Marky he may have more Celefain Vain (better than average chance lol)

Bang Gang's first one is much better, but there are a few gems on Vanity Kills.

Wasn't me with the Celephane Vain i'm afraid, never heard of them. [img]redface.gif[/img] I have got both the Bang Gang though but looks like you've been sorted with them too. I'm finally getting broadband sorted and upgrading my computer over the next coupla weeks so i'll be able to upload a hell of a lot more stuff than the little bits i've been able to up to now hopefully.

Wow you're talkin' about Bang gang ! I've always think that if Vanity kills was not sounding like a demo but well produced and not putting out like unreleased tunes it'd have been better than Love sells. I've always loved "Exotic lover" & sutff like "The hands of fate". I've never heard of Celaphane Vain, if anyone could send me some of their stuff it'd be greatly appreciated.

But you say you have "Vanity Kills", and that is the second Bang Gang release. The first one is "Love Sells", and that is what I just sent ya. The first Bang was released in '90, whilst "Vanity" was released just a couple of years ago.

Love Sells was the 1st Bang Gang album, and I never could get into it.
Far too limp in my books, especially BMG. Almost as camp-sounding as Steve Summers vocals on I Wanna Be With You... like he's squeezing one out.

I am surprised you like Bang Gang's Love Sells though. Didn't think it was your type. You know a couple of them were in TKO from Seattle with Brad Sinsel right? Is that why?

I'm not too sure what catches me about BG. It's that borderline Star Star/Faster Pussycat sound I think. They aren't exactly Sunset style. I remember I bought it when it came out and I wasn't too fond of it. A few years later though I gave it another shot, and I really liked it. No, I didn't know there was a connection with any other band...aside from the now Exies connection.

You might find that most of us here are helpful but prefer people to post a few times and join in before we part with stuff. Its just that you get so many people making one post for material and they never post again. Join in and you'll find that you'll get some joy.

Is it true that celafain vain sounds like a m?lange of Star star and big bang babies?

Amongst others but I would say key changes make it quite distinctive throughout. Whats your name mate and what other stuff you like?
