Lately I have been finding comments made in flippant and calous ways.
Sadly I know people don't intend to be hurtful, but some of the comments made are.
As the old saying goes - If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
Please be careful of being so hurtful.

Okay, talking about Chocolate, who's got some great and easy candy recipes (sp) and they must include CHOCOLATE. Please maybe that's what I need. Something fun to eat.
We made candy this weekend by getting molds and candy melts at Michaels.
Then we used a toothpick to paint different colors into the molds. If you stick the molds in the freezer between each color, they will stay seperate and look really cute.
My husband makes great chocolate covered strawberries by melting chocolate, and dipping the strawberries in them to harden.
My favorite candy is maple sugar candy. You bring pure maple syrup (light amber works best- darker is slightly more bitter- like dark chocolate) to a soft ball boil (I think 40 degrees above the boiling point of water which your altitude will change a bit) and then when it reaches that you stir it until it looses its shine and then pour it either flat on a silpat or in molds.
We also like to make hard sugar candy, which you do pretty much the same but bring it up to a hard crack boil. The candy thermometer has them all labeled.
Ladies, I?ve managed to drop 18 pounds since August.
I AM FINDING ALL THE TALK OF CHOCOLATE HIGHLY OFFENSIVE!!! And thus will be ignoring any further posts to this thread! LOL!!!

"Where Are You Chocolate"
Where are you Chocolate
Why can't I find you
Why have you gone away
Where is the laughter
You used to bring me
Why can't I hear music play
My world is changing
I'm rearranging
Does that mean Chocolate changes too
Where are you Chocolate
Do you remember
The one you used to know
I'm not the same one
See what the time's done
Is that why you have let me go
Chocolate is here
Everywhere, oh
Chocolate is here
If you care, oh
If there is love in your heart and your mind
You will feel like Chocolate all the time
I feel you Chocolate
I know I've found you
You never fade away
The joy of Chocolate
Stays here inside us
Fills each and every heart with love
Where are you Chocolate
Fill your heart with love
Thanks to Faith Hill

I do agree with you - but I think we're all a bit over-holidayed already - too much pre-Christmas stress and too much chain-yanking....
Hang in there, ladies.... And Felina's right - let's play nice!
I'll start revoking chocolate privilages! I mean it this time... I really will
DO ... NOT...TAKE...AWAY...THE...CHOCOLATE!
How could I possibly cope then, I've eaten 2 handfuls of m&m's already today! They're supposed to be for cookies!
Laurie
I've eaten so many butter cookies and Giardelli chocolate that I have heartburn..........
Laurie--Why did you mention M&Ms? I have some sitting in the cabinet right now that are supposed to go in my White Chocolate Chex Mix, and now I might have to eat them. . . .
I agree that we should be careful about what we say and the bad thing about the internet is that we can't define how we say it, because everyone reads the emotion differently in an email.
I think people are good about apologizing when they realize that they've gone too far, and I think that's key. Let's work out issues and keep a happy board.
Oh, Laurie, Diana looks so adorable in that picture! Was that your Christmas card photo? I didn't think I liked that dress, but I've changed my mind...it looks so pretty on her and her baby doll!
I've been working my way through a stocking full of chocolate... and loving every minute of it... and I would not be apposed to suspending other's chocolate privalges to support my own habit!
As for saying hurtful things... I think everyone is wound really tight, and so flippant comments are easily made and feelings are already raw and ready to take offense and be hurt. We all need to remember this and just love one another... and raise thy chocolate to the sky in salute... Merry Christmas to all and to all A good BITE!
