even better then "fine" i'd say it's their best work, the herculoids and Thundarr figures of theirs are some of my favorite figures i own, but this could be great since it looks like toynami stopped with the HB stuff. so i'll be hoping todd does it right and stays true to the originals as much as possible

Well, he is planning on a few minor changes...

1) Boo-Boo Bear is now Seeping Chest-Wound Bear

2) Bam-Bam Rubble will be called Explosive Decompression Bonepile

3) Penelope Pitstop will keep her name, but be wearing a leather bra and panties, with tattoo arrows pointing to her "pitstop"

4) Bandit Quest will be a giant carnivorous beast, with "realistic drool"

A McFarlane set of classic Johnny Quest figures would Rock!

And I keep looking at my Large Shrek and Donkey from the 1st Shrek movie, and thinking of what McFarlane could potentially do!

They've done good jobs with things in the past like Shrek, and Wallace and Grommet, so I think there IS hope.

Nice to see the McFarlane sculptors put to better use then the gore crap of the last few years.

(Personally, I think they already just used up all the red paint in Hong kong AND China!

Pah! Just read on action-figures.com that they will be $12 a pop, and will be recreating "famous scenes we know and love".

Sounds like statue city to me, and something not carried by mass markets, but more by collectable stores, and places like suncoast.

While I might spring for $8 for a grape ape figure, I wouldn't spring for him at $12.

This is what I wrote over there........

For me this could be a dream come true line!
I've wanted H-B figures for a (very) long time.

What I don't want are Statues, Busts & the like-
And I sure as don't want a tortured Frankenstein Jr.

What I do want are 6-8" figures that are true to the source material-

If that's what we're getting, I'll buy every H-B toon figure based on every cartoon between 1957 & (maybe) '76, '77 (?)

Of course the figures were well-done... they just didn't interest me.

McFarlane hasn't really put out a new license (in-house or not) that I've been really excited about since the first series of Soldiers, if my memory is good.

And that's one of the reasons why my collecting habits have slowed dramatically.

Yeah, I really am when it comes to toys.

I only discovered McFarlane several years ago because I wondered if there was a company that had the same standards for detail as I did.

AND they just happened to be putting out figures of Aliens, Predators, Terminators, etc.

I'm reading this quote from thier release:

And seeing diorama statue type stuff.. no one will buy a Quickdraw mcGraw action figure for $20.

as it is, sounds like the same deal as the Simpsons.
