Bella and I have decided that we must have Felicity. We love her head hair. After reading many posts on this board I think I want to get a PM. Here are my questions:
1. What year was Felicity introduced?
2. What Year did her Hair Change Color?
3. Is there a white body Felicity?
4. What are the key elements to look for when searching(ebay, etc.) for a PM doll?
Thanks Y'all

1. 1991
2. Her hair has changed a few times. The big change to the current auburn was in 1998. I think there was another change in there somewhere, but Im not sure of the year, mid 90s, I think.
3. Nope, they got rid of the WB dolls when Lissie came out, because of her low neckline dresses.
4. The brigher red hair, and eyelashes that are a soft brownish color, instead of the current stiff black ones. There shouldn't be a body tag

Cami, West Germany Felicitys do have body tags.

Ok, hmmm. I guess that makes that a bit harder then.

Our Felicity was purchased when she was first introduced and she doesn't have a body tag.

My 1991 Felicity doesn't have a body tag either.

My daughter has a Felicity from 1993 and she doesn't have a body tag either. Her hair is a beautiful auburn red and she has soft brown lashes.

The eye color is quite different on the PM Felicitys as well. Their eyes aren't as "neon" green as the Mattel ones - they are more subtle and natural looking. I have seen quite a variation in PM Lissie's eyes, though - my PM Lissie's eyes are a fairly dark green, while some I've seen are much lighter. Still not neon, though. It can be hard to tell the difference in the eyes unless you've seen PM Lissies and know exactly what you're looking for.

My 1992 West German Lissie has a peach body with no tag, copper colored hair and normal green eyes.

There is a link to my '93 Felicity in my sig. She has a nice copper red hair color and no body tag.

We have three PM Felicitys in our house right now. (2 which are leaving us soon) We purchased all three second hand so I don't know their original purchase dates. Two have the brighter red hair and one has auburn hair. Only one has a body tag and is says made in West Germany for Pleasant Company on it. I originally thought the one with the body tag must be a Matel doll because of the body tag but then someone here pointed out that the West Germany dolls do have a specific body tag. I don't know if this information will help or not but I thought I'd mention it just in case. - Meg B.

West Germany??????? Are they different? More Valuable??

I have two pm Felicity. One is from 1991 and the other because of the hair color can't be much younger. The 1991 Felicity has artist mark behind her right ear also. (Other doll is in storage so I am not sure but I think she also has the mark.) Both have rich copper red hair, fuller cheeks and soft eyelashes. The face color is prettier then the Mattel Felicity's. (I have a Mattel Felicity also.) My pm Felicity's do not have body tags.
I think the whole body tag being a pm thing may be wrong. If PC did body tags it had to be right before they moved the dolls to being made in China. Which happened sometime in the mid 1990's. If someone has a picture of a body tag on a Felicity with the copper red hair and the artist mark I would love a picture of the doll.

Thanks!
One More question -
Do PM Felicitys have pin curls?
-
Yes,they all start out with 3 on each side. My signed F. from 1991 does not have a side tag and I know 3 other people with signed F.s from 1991 that also don't have the side tag. I have seen two with 1986 side tags but their neckstamps and hair color looked more like the dolls made in the mid 90s.
Best of luck with your search.
