Oh My....guys...you have to see this. I dunked and streamed Felicity's hair with a curling iron a second time, and I'm just giddy over the difference! For the first time in 7 years, I can look at my dear Lissie without feeling ashamed! I should have tried this years ago....I could have saved Samantha a trip to the hospital.
Here's the album...some of the pics you've seen, but there are a few new ones at the end.

Wonder of wonder, miracle of miracles...

I can't believe she is the same doll. Her hair looked almost melted in the 1st photo. You did an amazing job. I looked really pretty just out of the curlers, too.
-
Fantastic! Miracles do happen. I am glad you had the courage to give it a try.

Great job! I'm so happy for you two!
-
Beautiful! Did you just run the curling up and down on her wet hair? It looks amazing.
-
I knew this would work. Well done for trying. You basically get the same result with the ceramic straightener.

Yeah, I just ran the iron on wet, soapy hair. Downey would probably work better than shampoo for humans, but I was working with what I had. I ended up brushing out the curls because I was too impatient to let it dry all the way! I just set it one more time, and this time, I'm going to let it dry. hehe.
Thanks everyone for giving me the guts to try this! I've been carrying Felicity around my apartment the way I usually do with a brand new one. hehe.
-
She turned out beautifully!!! Cogratulations on her makepver!!! I bet she feels like a brand new girl!!!
-
Congratulations! She looks beautiful! I'm so glad you were able to fix her up, since she was so sentimental to you.
-
Oh my goodness! she looks absolutely beautiful! congratulations!

You inspired me to get out my old Felicity that had bad hair too. I had already combed and shapooed it. I had also downy dunked it and dried it. It still looked frizzy and dry. So I spritzed her hair, and coated it in Garnier Nutrisse Smoothing Milk. I used my curling iron on a low setting and her hair looks like new. I was so shocked. I had recently restored a My Child doll doing this very same thing. I took a chance and Felicity looks great!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

Whoa there, that really is an amazingly big difference!! Great job... she really looks wonderful now!
