I have SBC/Yahoo DSL at home. 2 years ago I took advantage of a $26 per month for a year deal for new customers. I won't pay more than $30 a month for internet so I figgered I'll just find another deal at the end of the year. Well last year they offered to extend the deal for another year. Good enough, I took it.

Now my year is coming to a close and this is what they are offering me...

Option 1: Upgrade to DSL Pro with speeds up to twice as fast as regular DSL for $17.99/month for one year and $34.99/month after that. The catch is that you have to keep the service for at least one year. I reread that part again. I must keep the service for a year at $17.99....got it.

Option 2: Do nothing and my "regular" DSL service goes up to $34.99/month.

What should I do??? Think, think, think! Woe is me! How on Earth am I expected to figure this one out???

** sits behind curtain number 3 with overly expensive Comcast bill **

Well, I guess the high speed internet part is only $30.00/month, it's just the $150/month cable part that's hurting

Jor, you must have missed my post lam-basting Comcast a couple weeks back.

This past month my bill for cable and internet together went from $60.75/month to $180.23!!

...why are you worried? Doesn't everyone have a bevy of pathetic, horny, middle-aged broads paying their bills for them?

...gotta go, some chick wants to buy me another Rolex...

tell me about it... what kills me is that my employer pays for the internet portion of my bill, but my cable provider gives price breaks on internet service when you upgrade your television service... if only they'd discount the tv service for having internet i'd be set...
