it is awesome! always liked but never loved American Heartbreak but this album is a gem. nothing i can say here will do justice to this cd, it's that good. the songwriting, playing, everything ... top notch. hopefully liquor and poker has the means to promote the hell out of this, one break and they are in the big time. it is rock n roll enough to satisfy us 'older' music connoisseurs while being fresh enough to excite the kids of today.
you can check out the track Somebody (mp3) here (bottom right hand corner)http://www.liquorandpokermusic.com/main.html
do yourself a favor and jump all over this when it comes out (april 18th), you wont be sorry
right to the ipod with this one

Excuse me, but did I just see Bill acting 'giddy'? Carl, have you forgotten to give him his ridalin? Crap, I guess we now have to resort to the hardcore barbituates.
I'll be keeping my eyes peeled on this one. Always loved AH since I first heard them (be sure to check out my interview with Billy and Michael on this site....shameless self promotion )

First time I've heard this band, but it sounds great, catchy as hell.
-
I wasn't that wild about the new AH song. Seemed a bit weak, to me. We'll see how the rest are.
The new Hellacopters video on there is pretty sweet.

Yes people GET THE NEW AMERICAN HEARTBREAK cd on the Liqour and Poker laabel.
This album was supposed to be out last year, but after talking with Billy, the band wanted to make the album at a more professional level.
This album to me is one of AH's best albums so far.
-
Can't wait to get it. The 6 or so songs i've heard so far are excellent
-
Finally got to give it a good listen this morning. Friggin' really great stuff for sure! The construction on "Love Your Abuse" is beautiful! Then that song 12 is dang near perfect!
DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND LISTEN WITH HEADPHONES!!!
Thanks Bill, I owe ya!

I talked to Billy Rowe several months back when the band was recording and he mentioned to me that they were recording 12 songs electric and then the same 12 songs acoustic and they were going to release the disc as a double set. Does anyone know if that actually is going to happen. I checked both the AH site and the record label and they mention nothing about it.
-
I also have heard rumors about a double cd ( the second one had to be the acoustic one ),but still no official news!!!!!
-
Just got hold of this... Now I think it's pretty good & I know for a fact the bass player is a massive Wildhearts fan but.....
............Nicking the premise of 29 X the pain (Last of the superheros) is one but completely ripping the same songs riff off (Crawling)is V POOR indeed, gotta say overall it's not bad though
-
Any chance somebody could hook me up with the album via yousendit... pretty please!

Sorted.

I've been living with this for a couple of weeks now - great cd. Have most of the older stuff now but this is the cd by them that stands out to me
-
What's the yousendit url so I can have a listen as well? Take it easy.
-
please send the link to me too
-
Got it. Cheers. Just playing the 1st track. Reminds me of The Goo Goo Dolls vocal wise pre "A Boy Named Goo" well when Robby was doing more of the singing and they were good.

I hope the person who mailed me the link is cool with me sharing it. It will expire so you need to get in quick. It's on Megaupload, not Yousendit.
