hey has anybody been to any of the recent rancid shows this tour? i just got tickets to see them in anaheim, flying down from san francisco but i hope they schedule some SF dates too. anyway, i was just wondering how the shows have been and what the sets have been like.
Yes I was at the 1st show of the tour here in Tempe AZ at the Marquee..they were great ...did play a shit load of old tunes then if memory serves they came out for encore 1and asked for requests from the audience then they also played acustic.
Damn, I cannot wait for them to come to Europe at the end of this year. Hopefully there will be some gigs in Germany,too. Do you rembember some parts of the setlist?
The San Antonio Show was really good...A good setlist of all their records.
the only european gig is in london but i was planning on going but i believe it's sold out. hopefully they will add more shows.
I caught them Sunday night at BB Kings in Times Square, excellent show. BB's is a pretty small place and they were all really into playing and the crowd was having a blast. Catch them if you can on this tour.
I will be at their Friday Sept. 1 show in Toronto.....I am so stoked!
I am going to the October 13th show with the GERMS at the Anaheim House of Blues...its going too bee sickkkkkkkk
They were rumoured to be coming here with Avail in October. Avail are coming bt not Rancid.
The chances of Rancid touring Oz ever again are slim seeing as Brody Dalle is from Melbourne [img]frown.gif[/img]

I have been watching for San Francisco dates. I think it's an odd coincidence that the 2 days off during the SoCal dates are the 2 days that the Pogues are playing SF. I'm sure I'm wrong, but it would be sweet to have Rancid as a surprize guest.
When are Rancid playing Europe?
No tour dates are announced for Europe at this time.

Maybe they've got more european dates planned but not released info on them (on their website) because they're playing at City here in Nottingham

Has anyone seen them playing "Otherside" on this tour?
I've seen them three times on this tour, and no otherside. They haven't played much off Indestructible - they do fall back down every night, and one night in chicago they did outta control. They're pretty heavy on let's go, wolves, and a good amount of life won't wait.

i would say half of every set is totally different. they've pulled out some stuff i never, never expected, like it's quite alright from 2000, cocktails from life won't wait, one night they played two bastards songs, and there's more, but i don't wanna totally ruin some surprises for anyone who's going. I'll say that they played rats in the hallway at the columbus show and both chicago nights...
This thread was making me so jealous, so I checked ticketmaster for NorCal dates once again, and YES! First date anounced Dec 16th at the Warfield, tickets on sale Sunday!

In NYC they played a few tunes from Let's Go, including Rats In The Hallway.
There is two songs I've been wanting to see them play live for years now. Just a feeling on a 7inch and Corruption from Rancid 2000. Is anyone down with those songs? "Just A Feeling" is one of my favorites! Some of my favorite Rancid songs never got officially released or are at best somewhat obscure.
Is anybody else excited about the Tim Armstrong solo album thing he's doing (he's releasing the songs for free over the internet one by one)? I personally love the first one.
anybody know which Bastards songs they've been playing? if i had to guess id say for sure "To Have & To Have Not" and "Skunx" maybe. I heard that they're most likely not doing another bastards album which is a bust. I love that band. It'd be a shame to not ever hear songs like "Bastards", "Switchblade" or "Mainling Murder." I dont think there's many Bastards tunes that Rancid would play live.
Rancid has some great B-sides. I wish they would make a newer studio version of "Just A Feeling" I'm also excited about what Tim Armstrong is doing. Putting out a new record on the internet to thank all of his fans. "Hold On" the first song kicks ass, but the 2nd song sounds pretty gay. When I heard it I was hoping it was a mistake and Tim wouldnt sing, but he did. I have a feeling that the album he is putting out will be Tim playing with a bunch of other bands which is kinda cool.
"To Have & To Have Not" is the song that Rancid has been playing recently. I wouldnt count the bastards out yet. They were not even supposed to put out a 2nd album but they did. Rancid is one big family and will always put out music one way or another.
Ludeboy - you said you didn't like the second song, where did you hear it? i checked the rancid myspace page and hold on is still up, but no new ones.... And to the person asking about bastards songs - they played skunx in columbus, too.
