What song when it comes on while your driving makes you:
PUT THE PEDAL TO THE METAL!
Off the top of my head.

One song that always makes me drive slighty faster is "Black Betty" by Ram Jam. But only slightly faster than the posted speed limit of course!

But if I need sustained high speed cruising the CD's I use are either
Metallica: Black Album
or
Offspring: Smash
Either one of those will have me going like... three miles an hour faster than is allowed by law.
C'Mon by The Runaways does it for me!
and for some reason...

If your talking runaways how about American nights.
But Missisippi Queen by mountian will get your there!
Jimi, by the ******** Surfers (1st song off the 'Hairway To Steven' CD, which a lotta people don't know the name of because all song titles are only given as acid-induced doodles on that CD).
as a professional truckdriver, i usually love willie's 'on the road again' i'll play it full volume when i need a pickup and am trying to elevate my mood or stay awake! also 'whiskey river too. thinking about making a cd with just each of these songs on it one cd with on the road and another with whiskey so i dont have to mess with the player while driving.
You all have picked most of the best songs, Right now I'm hooked on the new Cd by Chris Knight, "enough Rope". He reminds me of a pinch of Steve Earl, mixed with a handfull of Old Melloncamp, and just a dash of Springstien.
His songs are very powerful & emotioal. The Song that would cause me to put the hammer down would be "Dirt", The song is about industry moving into rural america, with this Powerful line "They're treating my grandpa's land like DIRT!"
I Can't Drive 55... Really I can't...

This ol' redneck is a good ol boy from across the river into Kentucky, I have been playing the heck out his Cd's last week.
This week its Ska-Punk with Rancid & Voodoo Glowskulls, along with The Special's first Cd/Lp.
Probably something like Bachman Turner Overdrive 'You Aint Seen Nuthin Yet'..certainly not my Bro-in-Laws choice of a variety of Leonard Cohen CD's ((
I've a thing called 'Rebellious Jukebox' where I put what I'm mostly listening to and current;y its all BILLY CHILDISH whose various incarnations you can find here

You guys sure get some variety in your listening pleasure!
Lately, with me, it's either Beatle related, Blondie or Joan Jett.
These are the fastest growing areas of my collection, right now,
and I seem to have constant catching up to do!
It's fun though, for sure!
