Loot!

Just a teaser and a heads up. I have figured out the hoard, just haven't had the chance to type it all up yet. there are somewhere in the enighborhood of a dozen items (or more!) that show up as magical, and many mundane, gem, jewelry and coin items.

This is no doubt the biggest loot pile you have ever seen (or maybe ever will, in terms of size). I will post the items for what they are, assuming you use your typical means for identification, so get ready to sacrifice those pearls!

In part or in whole, you will be able to find non-magical varieties of every weapon in the players handbook, as well as any piece of armor or shield made of metal.

an insignificant quantity of lesser coins scattered here or there

200,000 gold value worth of gems and jewelry and other art objects, ranging from malachite worth 11 gold to a dragonhide half mask, studded with black and white pearls valued at 9,000 gold. I would be happy to list them all as a seperate entry if your intentions are to keep artwork. Otherwise, I presume you will just sell it all as you usually do.

The rod of sanctuary will be handy for those long trips in the wilderness.

Here are some suggestions as far as the breakdown of the loot:

I'd suggest Thaylias take the +6 shield of electrical resistance, which would go nicely with his +6 full plate armor of fire resistance.

Likewise, the +6 full plate armor of ghost touch would compliment Celene's +6 shield of cold resistance.

Since it's her size, Allie'll take the +6 rapier of speed. The bard currently has a ring of prot +3 and a cloak of res +3, so either the cloak or ring will go a long way for her, as would the manual of quickness in action since she does not lose her dex bonus to AC when flatfoot normally.

Someone with good reflex saves should definitely take the ring of evasion. Evasion's been a lifesaver to Allie who has it as a class skill. (If you succeed a reflex save that normally lets you take half damage, evasion means you take none. If you fail the save, you take full damage as normal.)

The +5 charisma boost of the Tome of Leadership would help several of the PCs - Allie and Kel both use cha as the primary spell stat. Celene and Oakshade use cha in regards to their undead turning abilities, and it also helps Celene's lay on of hands ability.

Anyone can benefit from the HPs gained by the +5 boost to con granted by the manual of bodily health.

Shanti would be most interested in the Ring of Protection +7, and the Mantle of the Silver Dragon.

As for the assorted jewelry, my vote would be to sell and split it, as some of us are having lavish housing/estates built and will need to rely on our adventures to finance them!!

Kel would definitely covet the tome of influence most of all... It would be useful both as a leader of a tribe to be more inspiring, and yes, it helps the sorcerous side.

The ring of evasion seems pretty damn nifty too to him.

Not as sure on Thurvold's side yet.

There are also 21 assorted potions, well corked and sealed, their labels long since disintegrated. these will have to be figured out through magic, lore or experimentation.

After deciding WHAT is to be taken, you must decide HOW it will be taken.

Oakshade suggests that thurvold teleport some of you (or all if possible) to a known location (like New Tindale), and then, having been here, teleporting back, now that Thurvold knows the location. this of course, is up to you.

As far as the art work is concerned Thaylias is interested in two minor pieces.

If no one has any objections of course. These will do nice in decorating some of the rooms of Shanti and Thay's new home.

Thay would love that shield that Nancy recommended!! We have alot of characters with lots of needs I'm sure so I am going to wait and let others pick and or give suggestions on the rest.

Perhaps a teleportation circle? Spell lasts awhile, so a single casting may be enough to get us back and forth several times. Workers from New Tindale could even bring wheelbarrows or carts through to load up stuff and return to the city.

The Rod of Security is something we all can use, so it's something that should be considered as belonging to the party as a whole.

There are no jewelry items that interest him, he will take the cash. The scabbard seems to go with the rapier and he suggests Allie take that.

Selling the rest of the gems and art will still add a nice chunk of change to the gold and platinum.
