Who are some girls or boys basketball players that will be the stars of the LPD in a few years?

I think the David Herron "dude" from Pound will be an athlete to watch! All around great basketball player! Good luck in seasons to come!

Kelly Baseball

wise has got a couple of studs. one being Devan Sproles. A holdback 8th grader. he is LB and FB in football for jv. 3-man for basketball on jv, and 1st base in baseball hitting clean-up. another is matt dotson. he is qb and ss in jv football, pg in basketball jv and pictcher ss in baseball. the whole baseball team is pretty athletic at jjk. 3 freshman will get a lot of pt ofr them this year. cody bently probally going to start ss and pitch some for varsity. he is also a strong hitter. Zac Clifton will be playing outfield and is very stong hitter to be a freshman. and Justin Wilson will problly play the infield reserve. he is an ok hittin and an ok pitcher.

In Boys Bball from Coeburn up from JV- Nick Jennings and Shane Mays, and Andrew Pate. Going to be some good players. The 8th grade class In JV this year was real good. Dotson from Wise, Pinkston from PV, Cantrell from Pound, Coleman and Miles from Burton, And Ty Lee from GC. All good players and they were all 8th graders. The Coeburn Girls future after this years sophomore class is nothing. Only won like 4 games in the past 2 jv years.

We cant forget about Andrew Adkins from Coeburn....hes gonna be a good one!!

I taught all those guys before I retired. Good kids too. There is a good group of boys coming up. Kelly has a good group of girls also.

kelly's girls JV have won two straight, and that team last year was undefeated so they should be good.

i dont know who i coming back in football for anyone another than clintwood....but id say Miles Osbourne is gonna be a great running back, Kelly Fleming might move to QB from what i have heard, Jake Cumbo will be back at G/LB he is good too all of those will be stars for the greenwave and all will be Seniors

I've heard that they were going to gate city.......
which it is a rumor but you never know. I know that they play ball for them in the summer and they have a lot of friends over their so you never know....
