Do You Wear Your SeatBelt??

since it was brought up in another post here is the question?
Do you wear yours?
When i was in College I did a whole paper on why a Law stating you must wear your seatbelt was wrong. I paid for my car. I pay for the insurance and the up-keep so why should the Goverment tell me I have to wear my seatbelt.

I understand why it is important now that I'm older and wiser. To not wear your seatbelt is just crazy. I have to wear one now.

Always try to click it. Better to be safe than sorry. Accident and ticket wise.

Yeah I do. If I don't I get dinging sound for about 5 or 6 minutesor until buckle up. So now it's a force of habit.

I wear mine if I go out of Pound....I usually don't wear it if I'm going somewhere in Pound though

I wear mine regardless of the length of the trip.
My parents always said "Girls! This car doesn't move until you're buckled up!"

No, only time I wear mine is I see a road check up ahead and then I swirve all over the road to put it on. I think the seatbelt is the dubmest law that we have. I've never understood that law at all.

Perhaps as a law (except for requiring children to be buckled) it may be overstepping a bit, but it's a good personal practice to get into.

I agree with kids but people that are old enough to drive are old enough to decide whether or not they want to wear a seat belt.

I do when I think about it. I'm in and out of my car all day and forget about it too much.

... I use to when I first started driving... but I don't know.. now.... I guess i never really do... but sometimes I get these crazy feelings..... i guess you would call em'... and I put it on.. and make everyone else too..

In the front I wear it all the time just about. In the back I very seldom do.

A man is living in an area where a major flood hits.
He's stranded on the roof of his house, surrounded by miles of rising water.
A boat comes by - offers to take him. The man says "No, the Lord will save me"
The waters rise.
Another boat comes by - offers to take him. The man says "No, the Lord will save me"
The waters rise.
A helicopter comes by - offers to take him. The man says "No, the Lord will save me"

The waters continue to rise, and ultimately the man drowns.

When he meets the Lord, he asks "Why didn't you save me?"

The Lord says "I tried - I sent you two boats and a helicopter!"

I never wear one. If you going to die. Your going to die.

That is like saying "I'm not going to chew my food anymore. If I choke it must have been my time" or if you drive your car with bad brakes and you say "if they go out it must be my time". No, there are things put in place to help you make it to your time. If you go before then and you could have prevented it then think of family that you leave behind.

I agree with the if you are going to die,your going to die. But with a seatbelt on you can just be hurt a little and not a lot in a accident.It can make the difference between being thrown from a car or staying in it.

no there isnt if your supposed to die in a car wreck, your gonna die in a car wreck if, your gonna die of a heart attack it doesnt matter what you eat, everything is already pre determined.

Heck yes I do! It's now such a habit for me to buckle up that I won't even move 10 feet w/o my belt on. I know it can be harmful as it can be helpful but I know I value my face too much to let it be smashed into a windshield.

If everything was pre-determined God wouldn't have given us Free Will to choose.

I do believe that it is predetermined.You are born when you are supposed to and you will die when you are supposed to.

Like me and my motorcycle.About 10 weeks ago I hit the rearend of a car and went over the handlebars at about 60mph.I recieved 3 fractures in my pelves and couldn't work for 6 weeks.I got the bike back on the road last weekend.If I'm supposed to die in a bike wreck I will,if not I don't have anything to worry about.I may get hurt but oh well!

If it's your time to go there is nothing you can do about it. If it's not your time to go then you have nothing to worry about.

I should wear my seatbelt more that I do.

i know this much n2sports as many times i know u have wrecked i think i would get rid of the bike and try the truck.
i always try to put mine on. i wont lie sometimes i forget to do it. but i try to remember.

I think wearing your seat belt is a really good habit to get into, but I usually forget unless someone reminds me to or I see somone else putting one on.

Oddly enough, sometimes when I get on my bike I feel like I'm forgeting something because there isn't a seatbelt.

I'm going to invent a riding suit that inflates like an airbag when you come off of the bike.It will stay inflated so that when you hit you bounce.I might as well do it,I am allready playing the role of a "crash test dummy".
