I have a Chambers stove that was in my house when I bought it 12 years ago. It still works but does need some work on minor items like a loose handle. Best offer. White Must pick up.

Doesn't it just make you want to go look at it? I used to be that way, people probably thought I was nuts, just calling and wanting to talk about their Chambers.
Fixed blueberry pancakes on the griddle this AM for the kids and grandkids. It WORKED. Crisco !!! Second panfull best. And the stuff I scraped off from the first panfull I just shoved back to fall in the grease catcher, and that worked too...v

Welcome, Texas is well represented on this board. What type of work do you need done on your stove? I don't have any experience with a complete overhaul, but the board is a wonderful source for the manuals, parts, friends, pictures and suggestions. We'd love to see pictures of your stove. Is it propane or natural gas?

Lori is a fount of information. I haven't heard of a repair place except in Houston. Someone mentioned someone around Dallas. I am afraid most of it is do it yourself...(not my bag) I am still trying to figure out how to get the temp. probe reattached to the back of the oven with some (to be located) clips. In this case, information is manna from heaven...v
The diastat clips are available at most appliance parts stores. They should be about a buck each. They just snap into the two holes in the rear of the oven, then clip the diastat tube into them. Replace them soon because the oven temperature will not be regulated correctly and you also run the chance of damaging the tube during cooking.

I just found the second hole, at first I thought there was only one. I did it by feel. I thought it was screws that went into the hole but now I feel it is clips. My husband said 'have him just mail you two' and now I don't like him tonight...v

It needs a little tender loving care, but I'm willing to work on it.
Assuming that you can see the image, does anyone have any ideas on what model it might be? Where do I look on the stove for the model number? You see, I haven't closed on the house yet, so I don't have unfettered access to the stove just yet.

It's a beauty. When do you close? do you know anything about the history of the stove? It looks like it is a B model. You can find the model and the year on a tag that is under the right front burner. Did it have any pots, etc.? What are you going to name it? When you close, let us know what you need and we'll see if we can find it.
I think we need to have a meeting of the Los dos loco chicas taquoria organization committee. Lori is right, it is definitely a B. The tag will give you the exact model, but I'm guessing 14-B. I have a 15-B & I believe the major (only?) difference is that mine has a chrome top instead of the black enamel.
You are going to love cooking with this range after you get it all set up.
If you don't have pots, or need any parts, keep an eye on eBay. The pots can get incredibly $$$, but you can luck out now & then. I paid a lot for my triple set & thermobaker on eBay, but my doubles weren't so bad. At least they were less than $100! Other parts like burners, grates, drip pans, etc. show up regularly & often go for reasonable prices. Even bigger pieces like the high backs & the fold down cover (it looks like you might need one of those as yours appears to be bent in the picture) come up. I recently bought 2 oven racks for $25.00 with shipping, and I'm waiting on a set of burners & miscellaneous parts that I got for only $40.00 or so total--just for 2 examples.

Thanks, everyone, for all of the terrific information. I'm excited about getting my new Chambers stove cleaned up and back in action.
I'm on the road today, going to the Ikea in Houston to look at some kitchen options to accompany the stove.
I have a general idea of the width, height, and depth of the stove, but I haven't been able to find specific dimensions. If anyone has these measurements and doesn't mind sharing them, could you? I realize that this is kind of short notice, so if I leave before you post, my cell is five-one-two, four-one-five, five-nine-two-six. I'll be on the road for a while.

Mark, I think your oven is 16 1/2 deep on the racks, 18 inches wide and 12 inches tall at the oven opening. The T well is 10 inches wide and it is 8 1/2 inches to the burner plate. I hope this helps, and I was in time.

Yeah, I didn't make my post very clear, but I was picking out counter tops and the like. I'm rebuilding the new kitchen around my Chambers.
My griddle is in pretty bad shape. Is there a source for replacements? The ones I see in photos online always seem in such good condition.

They do come up on Ebay but if you read through the old messages you can pretty much beat yours into submission and/or have it bead-blasted. You have many options.
Tell us more about this kitchen re-design. There are several people on the board with experience, and we all like to hear what everyone else is doing.
