Bush, Maroney, Leinert....DeAngelo Williams should be on the list. But I think those 3 are the best in the country. Maroney is amazing, but Bush is a lock, really no reason to say why, hes just a lock unless something happens.
my decision is between Vince Young and Reggie Bush, they both are dynamic players, both are very versitle, and man do they have speed. If I had to pick one it would be Reggie Bush, simply because he can do it all, run, catch, punt and kick returner, he is just a phenomonel athlete.
After last weeks performance against Oklahoma State Vince Young is definitely moving up on my list, he is a true leader, his passing style may not be the prettiest but it is very effective, and if he can't find anyone to throw to he'll just pull it down and take it to the house. Both are very deserving of the award!
i agree with you mega Maroney is a beast, I've watched Minn. play a couple of times this year and he impresses me every time I watch. He has speed and he is a bruiser.
I would almost put Brady Quinn on my top three, I just don't know if it is all due to Weiss's system or he is that good. I know alot of it has to do with the system, but to throw over 400 yards in a couple of games is very Heisman worthy! Having said that I think he would have to beat a few more "good" teams before you put him up there.

I didnt see it, but when Comparing Maroney to Marion Barber, Maroney is 2-3X better and Barber is looking good in Dallas. LM will be a good pro, lots of speed,power and moves.

1. Reggie Bush is the best player in America Bar None. When I watch him play it looks like a playstation game and you are pushing the fast button on him all the time. He is that much faster than everyone else. I wonder what his 40 time is?
2. Vince Young. Texas would be nowhere as good as they are without him. He is the closest thing to Michael Vick I have seen. He is the main reason Texas will probably play USC for the national title.
3. Matt Leinert. Hard to argue with a former Heisman winner.

Reggie Bush without a doubt. Take him off that team and they are not national championship material IMO.

I don't think he is overhyped because he plays for Notre Dame, I think anybody who throws for over 400 yards twice in a season is heisman material! Having said that I know ND players get more exposure, but if he were playing for FSU he would already have the heisman in the bag.
any qb from texas tech throws for 400 yards in lots of games...also Timmy Chang who went to Hawaii
I'm just saying that is one of the reasons he would be considered for the heisman, and Timmy Chang was a helluva college QB. Texas Tech has the system that allows thier QB's the oppurtunity to throw for 400 yards. And yes throwing for over 400 yards is a great feat for any QB.
and Notre Dame is not one diminsional, they try to run the ball with Walker as well
Quinn is in no way overhyped IMO. He is one of the best QB's in the country but doesnt get near the attention that Vince Young and Matt Leinhart receive. Quinn is just as if not more important to his team than those 2.
he's a good college qb...but there are about 10-12 in the nation better than he is

Geeesh almighty, I do not agree with that. Hype is wonderful, but that's been previous Notre Dame QBs before they ever played a down, but I don't see that on this guy, because he wasn't hyped coming into the year. It's been built up by his numbers and performance, and yes, his team winning. Overly hyped numbers can be a factor, some BYU quarterbacks come to mind, but saying that due to a jersey they get attention takes away from guys like oh I don't know, Steve Young. Sure going to Notre Dame gives him more attention, just like going to USC, Michigan, etc does.

I mean how about giving some credit for him actually improving and warranting the attention instead of just saying oh lord he's Notre Dame. Yeah I gotta say GC is hating big time on this one. Kiper is mentioning Quinn as the top quarterback taken in the 07 draft, that says everything.
As to who will win the Heisman, I really have no idea. The talent level for this years decision is SO HIGH.
A reflecting question to this topic is which player do you like watching the most? I personally stop doing whatever I am doing at the moment to watch Vince Young play. The guy is big, strong, true leader, smart, and oh yea, FAST. Give anything to be as athletic as this guy.
I probably will stop and watch either Bush or Vick, since either one seems to be able to make 'great athletes' look horrible. I would guess Young is in the same group, just haven't watched him enough to say that.
Reggie Bush has made my jaw drop at least one time in every game he has played this season.
