Why ya'll messin on the Crazies...? I don't think we are jerks, yea we do say some stuff we shouldn't say every now and then but we love to support our basketball team....Plus, it helps..It get some players frustrated and gets them off their game.....In the long run they might not put up as many points as normal...I love our Crazies!

You darn straight I was a founding member along with some other Coeburn fans. The Crazies have mutated into something I still support, but the Crazies were born about 2 years ago at the PV/Coeburn game @PV. Lots of Coeburn fans who were really into the game and we're behind the team (some have fell off since then) were good enough to stand up, organize, and yell for the boys, game in, game out.

We need to change this...there needs to be more kids dedicated to the team--keep the rabid fanbase going. You ask any of Coeburn's kids if it helps them on the court...they'll tell you 100% that it helps and they're glad to have the backing of the crowd. If there's any Coeburn kids out there, I'm not asking you to go to the tailgates. I'm not asking you to go to the games and stand up and cuss the refs--for that matter, I'm asking you not to do that. I'm asking you to have the will and the love for your team to stand up and yell for the boys representing your academic institution...regardless of what mega, MOX (which I know ya'll are just playin w/me...not mad) or others may think about how good/bad Coeburn basketball has ever been.

Solidarity in the fanbase makes the boys feel like they have a responsibility to uphold--they're accountable to those fans that stand up the entire game, yell and cheer them on, whether it be at Council or in Coeburn. I wish I could help better organize this bunch that's taking care of things now but because I'm in Abingdon working during the week--it's going to be hard for me to make it to every game. That being said...I'm proud for anyone at any school who has the school spirit to stand up and yell for their boys/girls in their athletic endeavors.

I still find it funny, however, that other schools will get a group of their kids together, have signs/noise makers/organized cheers, and will put down the Crazies as being "tacky" for doing the same thing. Jealousy breeds contempt is all I gotta say. I won't let the Crazies die...trust me. Gonna be around for as long as I have a say in it.

oh yeah, good ole coach lee wont let the boys have tailgate parties this year either

Any school can have great support if the fans are up to the task of providing it.

I just still find it sad that coach lee is still all over them boys about everything

honestly, all the heckraising that went on last year was due in large part to some idiot named castle and his buddy roberts, take them out of the equation, and there would not have been as big a fuss about everything, we were kind of the ringleaders of everything...

Haha, yeah Coach Lee is an odd guy for sure...

I mean, I shouldn't be saying much because I don't know him personally, but I can tell just by observations that he doesn't seem very friendly or respectable at all.

Coeburn misses the two most respected men that have ever stepped foot in that building, Coach Hubbard and Mr. Collins...

if i were a principal, i would encourage school spirit and things like that, but Lee instead tries to turn people away from it ( i think that stems from his "great" coaching days)..

Really though, whats wrong with a little tailgate party before a ballgame, its not like there are coolers full of beer out there and people smoking pot or anything, just some boys enjoying their days at school and supporting the team, not to mention some good food!

Y'all haven't mentioned the biggest hater of the crazies, I won't mention any names but his initials are Mr. Noe. I have no problem at all I still have my founding memeber shirt that we had made up the first year. I very much believe it helps to have them during the PV game that a football fan was talking about they completely took Robbins out of the game by getting under his skin mostly just chanting "daddys boy" and helped Coeburn to win that game.

From what I hear the Crazies are growing, I figured it would have died out this year, but I guess I was wrong. I still got my shirt from the first year too, it's getting a little tight though. LoL

Saw them at the TW game last week and was glad to see it still going just hope that it can keep growing.

YEa...Next year is going to be a year we are gonna have to rebuild....BIG TIME....We lost 3 or 4 last year...But this year we will be losing maybe 10 or 12...I don't know exactly...But hopefully the few left next year can recruit and keep the tradition going for years to come!

That just reminded me when ya'll were talkin about shirts...we had a few ideas...the first one was going to have on the front coeburn crazies and on the back showin our-then a donkey head-to kick yours...but impressions couldn't do that so we got on the front coeburn crazies and on the back we got we're hear to makes some noise with a dude screamin on the back and then GO BIG BLUE!!

You guys can get on here and run yalls mouth about us but the other teams do the samething we do. Like tonight there was a bunch of people on PV's side screamin and yellin at us but no one says anything about them. I think that any school whould like to have a cheering section like us and other teams put one together sometimes just when they play us. Its a good thing to get up and support your team no matter what anyone on here says. Everyone does it we just stand together and do it thats it.
