Vick in the pro bowl is a joke.

Ok let's start with the numbers

Also let's add in the fact that you can't use the, "oh well at least he's winning a bunch of games" argument. As of right now, the Falcons are the 8th seed in the NFC. He has also come up small when his team most needed him this year.

Here is a list of NFC qb's that should have gotten in over him. In no particular order.

Mark Brunell- Has much better stats than Vick, plus has come up huge in very important games. Amazing comeback in Cowboys1 and total domination in Cowboys2. Those 2 wins have basically put the Skins where they are right now.

Drew Bledsoe- Again much better stats than Vick. I hate the Cowboys, but that won't blind me from realizing that Drew is having a better year than Vick.

Mark Bulger only played in 8 games, but even he is still more deserving than Vick is this year.

Are you serious? No way Vick isn't worth every penny he is making, considering he put up Boiler numbers last year. If he didnt have two great running backs behind him, I think he would be lucky to put up Aaron Brooks numbers.

If you throw in the fumbles, hes had more turnovers than touchdowns this year. The game against chicago was just a typical vick performance. He will never make it to the superbowl if the falcons have to play against a team with a great defense, i.e. the bears, eagles, bucs, panthers, etc...One of those teams is always going to stand in his way.

Vick is and has always been overrated.

Brunell has thrown for 20 TD's this year
Vick has thrown for 13 TD's.
I'm not sure either player is Pro Bowl worthy, but the two statistics speak for themselves.

My grip is about another Redskins' standout, Chris Cooley, who led TE/FB voting with 422,314 votes. Yet, the other 2/3 of the voting forces him to be an alternate. The Pro Bowl is a popularity test.
Stats: 64 receptions for 725 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Cooley is a 2nd year player who wasn't drafted until the 3rd round. He is ranked 4th in the NFL, and 1st in the NFC among TE's.

Vick needs to move to safety or something, I mean think about it he is big and fast he would be a good safety.

can you imagine T.O. comin across the middle and the 210 lb Michael Vick trying to tackle him? What about Jamal Lewis/Bettis breakin free and Vick being the last line of defense.

If Vick was ever gonna make a position change it would be to WR/slot receiver. Just doesnt have enough meat and tatters to play defense.

Vick has been in the league too long these days to get a pass anymore. What is this, his 5th year in the league? Still cant read a defense, still hasnt worked on the accuracy, still a run first quarterback. Its a shame he never developed to his potential.

Brees and Tomlinson were the heist of the century looking back at it.

pvfan, I am a Cowboys fan, I will agree with the two both that you put up there. Brunell has resurrected from the dead.

I just really hope in 15 years or so that he is not in the Hall of Fame. Yeah he is probally the 2nd most popular quarterback, but the Hall of Fame should not be a popularity contest nor should it be race related. That being said I think most of his awards have been given to him, like this honor of playing in the pro bowl. I still have not figured out how the Falcons can pay him as much as they do and for him to put up sub par passing numbers.

Because he is the greatest Madden QB ever! His gaming popularity=money for the Falcons. As long as he is healthy, he will put butts in the seats. Success on the field doe snot matter as much as success on the business front to some.

Have u tried playing Madden 2006 with him? That is probally the most accurate description of him. His vision is about 1/8th of Peytons. I just dont see his lil brother making it past one year in the NFL personally. He is not as quick, and is only an average passer at best, yet Herbstreet builds him up so much. I seriously doubt he is even in the top 10 in the nation, yet will get drafted on his last name alone. Everyone keeps talking about how "young" he is. The boy is 22 and it is nobody but his fault that he has taken such a limited amount of snaps. I honestly believe that if he was not a Vick then Beamer would have dismissed him 2 years ago.

No I haven't played the newest Madden. But, that is one reason he has such a cult following. People tend to look for one or two exciting plays over true capability.
