Twin Springs

What is everyones problem with Twin Springs. I was just on va preps and there was a topic started by none other than a gate city person say what happened to ts, did they fire their recruiter... why bring up all this crap again.. then u got your twin vally babies complaining 2.. i just thinks its so funny they bring up the exchange student thing every damn year , oh hey what u know gc has one playing volleyball, council has one a pt guard, and then twin valley has 2 transfers ..one from council and one frmo grundy...... so everyone should drop it.

People from TV hate TS as much as I hate GC. Yes, it really is to that extent.

Im glad that you will, but honestly though, you bring the same thing over here every year, and the same argument is argued every year, and nothing ever comes of it, but yet you still continue to bring it up.

I'm from Coeburn... that probably speaks for itself when it comes to football.

I just enjoy football all around though.. I honestly don't have a "favorite" team. I just love the sport and that's that.

Unless your name is Mark Dockery or Keith Warner, I wouldn't be bragging about how good TS is.

My own personal opinion is that TV would beat TS by 10 points or more if they played.

you lost webb and the two recruits chucky lindhom and derek smith and they recruited kent goodman and a heck of an assisstant coach in rick goodman. get realistic

Honestly the key to TV imo is Baldwin. He's unstopable down low on the blocks.

thats true but the goodman's are great additions. as good as kent is his father brings just as much as a coach. very dedicated. i know were not used to that around here

Yea they have a good inside outside combo. Have you seen them play this year? They are very good, I dont see them losing another regular seaso game unless they lose to Oak Hill again.

There's a diffrernce between exchange students, transfers, and illegal transfers. I don't think anyone has a problem with an exchange student or legal transfer. But if you have a couple that are illegal then it's a different issue.

Okay here's the run-down since we're arguing over who's who and what's what since I've had dealings with all of you who are arguing:

titan is a fella I went to college with and played intramural basketball at UVAW against/with, smart guy and a really nice guy who loves his basketball. He's hardcore when it comes to TS basketball, and really basketball in general--guy will probably be a coach to one of the teams around here one day if he keeps up what he's doing...only drawback is that he's a UNC fan [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

pvfan I haven't met yet, but in our many convo's on here last year and many PM's, he's also a nice guy--opinionated but nice--and will defend his position with facts, stats, and quotes...whatever to get the job done and prove his point even if you don't agree with his position. Dude's tenacious &amp; emotional/passionate about his teams and sports in general. And he's even worse than titan, being a Maryland fan (ya Twerp!) LOL...j/k bro

Mcavoy knows his stuff too. He's a neutral observer, doesn't really root for any one school, but he sees a lot of the local games and will travel to watch any game--I once went with him after we watched the Haysi/Giles playoff game, before heading back towards home, we stopped and watched the Kiwanis Tourney in Clinchco. But once again, a guy who knows his stuff.

Chubz, regardless of our many arguments, is trying to become a valued member of this board, and he's learning...that I highly commend him on. He's got personal things to work through and I see from his past few posts he's making progress, don't even have to ask--it reflects in how he speaks for himself now as compared to when he first started on this board. We all know he's the "All-American Quarterback", but I'm trying to get him to come and be a Crazie to give him a taste of basketball. He's an intelligent young man (even if his posts sometimes don't reflect it [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]...j/k youngin) and has the capability to become as smart as any of us when it comes to sports--as I said, he's just got personal obstacles to work though to get there--and that's understood.

So hopefully that puts everything in perspective since I know most all of you who are arguing on this. Just in the same way that some GC fans were inflammed about Crowder and others saying they think Coeburn is the best team in the LPD, titan will get upset about people thinking TV is better than his boys in Twin Springs. Same thing with Coeburn people (I'm guilty of it) getting riled about other schools complaining about the Crazies. And to add to the argument, we all know the epic battles between GC posters and PV posters on this site. It all happens, we're all mostly good people, sometimes the written words on the screen get in the way of our passions and emotions associated with what we're trying to say, and it doesn't come off the right way.

So to all my friends/acquaintances that know me just trust me on this--stop arguing and discuss this a lil more rationally...choose your words more carefully...you'll all be a lot better off. FWIW, I've gotten a good laugh out of sitting back and watching ya'll argue...hehehe [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Did the VHSL rule that the transfers were illegal?

No but a transfer has to change resadence in order to keep from sitting out a year. That being said this is a simple one to get around and usaly involves setting up a Mailing address in the area "MOVED TO" I know Clintwood had a Kid Transfer to Haysi a few years ago where the Parents rented a trailor for awhile in the Haysi Area but never moved into it.
