JV Water Polo

Which LPD JV Water Polo squad is going to rule the roost this year? [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] I know....but seriously
It gets so old reading these silly little self-promo posts on this board. Here's an idea: Let your playing do the talking for you. Do you think other players around the league are going to be shaking in their boots because you are telling them how good you are going to be? Most LPD kids have the "just bring it" attitude, and you aren't impressing anybody. The kids who aren't on here shooting the mouth, and are instead working their arses off, are the ones who are going to make a difference instead of you. NOTHING was ever won or done banging on a keyboard.

i hear from a good source that i will do well in this...what are everyone else's thoughts about how well i will do

my water polo team finished 4-2 this season unfortunately....we lost our last two games, but we are the greatest team on earth and I am the greatest player on earth [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

It would be pretty cool to see water polo HS or college teams around here play

This forum can literally ruin a team. A lot of kids get on here and read some of this junk.

Oh yeah well we were 5-1 and the loss to you guys should never have happened, the refs cost us that one. Ask anyone that was there and they will tell you that the refs had it in for us and was gonna make sure you all won no matter what. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

We finished last with a 2-4 record. But we have some 7th and 8th graders coming up that are good. So be on the lookout next year.

I'll tell ya what...water polo can give your shoulders one heck of a workout. I knew I was out of shape after the first game, but good god.

I know but an undefeated season would have so sweet. Coach J is the best hands down noone can touch him in this state. Thanks for the props to, you had a great year way better than mine, I didn't get myself prepared as I should have in the offseason looking forward to going undefeated cause I knew we would have a good team.

Yeah TheBeast...that never shoulda happened. Kuczko & Shupe couldn't get the fog out of their glasses enough to call all the offsides penalties there were on Indian_Dad's team...and that one small George Costanza-looking referee with them couldn't swim, it was hard for him to keep up with his inner tube...I honestly didn't mean to flip him over that one time and get the technical. *crosses fingers* [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I hate to say it but I had a hodback horse last year, wish I hadn't done that I recommend not doing it they just can't keep up. Yeah they know what to do and where to go by instinct but youth and athleticism will beat them every time.

Well I can tell you that Miami's getting some Cuban horses that defected...so at least we know that they're daggone good swimmers to start with. Just hope dadgum LPDBlue or Smarty don't try to get them to come to FSU or UF's water polo squads with a suitcase full of carrots... [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I know as far as myself I have gotten letters from Morehead, Tennessee, Emory & Henry, and West Virginia. I am hoping to hear from VT & Kentucky. You can't match the horses that you get there. Except for the Texas and Oklahoma schools.

Yes I did, but my final 3 is Duke, Miami, & SRU (Sandy Ridge University).

I'll announce on signing day for us which just so happens to fall every year on the day of the Kentucky Derby.

Would be cool if you went to SRU, since I am heavily leaning toward 1 of 3 schools that I received letters from this week: SMU- Stone Mountain University (The Polecats), Bondtown Universtity BTU (The Fightin' Furnaces), and ICU- Indian Creek University (The Nurses). We'd play in the Possum Hollow League together man. ICU was hit hard by graduation, losing polo star and football standout wide receiver Minnie Dix, so I may end up at SMU (that free deer-hunting for life pass is tough to say no to)

I never thought I would be good enough to play for SRU, BTU or ICU. Got a letter today from SMU. I would really like to play for the High Knob Fatties (get the free deer hunting here as well) or the Tacoma Buzznuts.

I'm so happy!!! I just recieved a letter from PBU..POle Bridge University. I will be playing for the Crackhead Beavers next year. One thing that I was aginst about them was that a rumor was floating around about them. They were gonna change their name to the Butthole Surfers, but like I said, it was just a rumor!

Wish me luck guys for next year...I'm looking to break the water polo record!

I hear that Ramsey Tech (Rednecks) are looking to sign 2 of the top players this year. Any truth to this? Maybe Mega or Vthokie22 could tell us more.

Don't even consider RT man. They are having alot of problems keeping equipment from getting stolen for some reason. Guys guys guys... you've totally discounted the All-women's team from Pound Meade-creek State (PMS): the Red Devils.

We play one game a month against any mens-team takers.
We're currently undefeated.

GRU went down the tubes thanks to the drug bust this week...practically lost the whole team.
