Curt Warner the running back for the seahawks in the 80s(on the same team as Largent and Dave Kreig) played tailback at penn state.
The quarterback Kurt Warner played at Northern Iowa.
Yeah I knew Kurt. I just couldn't remember Curt. Did he play on the 79 Penn State team. I believe that was the year Penn State, and Bama played in the Sugar Bowl.
He played at Penn State from 79-82, so I doubt he played much in 79 because Joe Pa hated playing freshman up until last year. He had a 1400 yard rookie season with the seahawks in 83. He was often injured and thats when they brought in John L Williams to help carry the load.
Franco Harris and Lydell Mitchell played in the same Penn State backfield in the early 70's. Both had solid pro careers, especially Franco.
My prediction (barring injury of course) Larry Johnson will be break the single season rushing record this year.

The dude had 1750 yds last year in just a little over a half a season. The rushing record is just 2105. He's running behind maybe the best run blocking line in the NFL too. You might want to do your homework. Of course it sounds like you're kind of clueless anyway.

From everything I've heard, Priest is going to retire. He's pretty much done.

Im hearing that Priest will be back this season as a change of pace back, maybe take about 30 percent of the carries. He renegged his contract, basicly giving the Chiefs back about 2 million and adding that onto the end of his contract which isnt up for another 2 or 3 years, which he probably knows he will never see. Priest wants a Superbowl and he knows his place on the team. Its good to see this kinda player/person in the NFL.
And for whoever asked Johnson is the starter, you dont rush for 1750 yards in 9 games started to sit the bench the folling year. Im not sure if he will break any rushing records this coming season, but I know hes capable and it wouldnt suprise me if he did. The only thing that may hold him back is that the Chiefs have a Herm Edwards and a new offensive co.

Yep your right, Herm is a run first type of guy. Though with Al Saunders running the offense with Vermeil they had a quality man calling the shots. Im not sure how much the offense changes with new coordinator Mike Solari. I know nothing about him. Though losing blocking fullback Tony Richardson will hurt slightly as well, he was one of the best in the game. If Roaf is healthy, and the Chiefs can establish a deep passing game with Parker and Keenison, and maybe add another decent reciever their offense will be dangerous. Though Trent Green is the key, if he goes down, so does the Chiefs season. They should have looked for a backup QB this offseason.
