He needs more 'roids!
Or some cork in the bat
or quit hating on his asss cause he just went deep.
He had a laptop and went to this forum to look for advice..
He probably installed some cork and swung away!
Nah, j/k. That's a heck of alot of homeruns, though.. that's 712 baseballs that have flown into the stands - all because of one guy.
Even before steroids, Bonds was the best in the game. Ole lefty has the sweetest swing ever, well besides Bump Wills!!!
I have to agree with Cowfoot on this one. I dont know why he would have needed steroids in the first place myself.
lol, ah I was just messing around.. I'd say he would've been just as good without steroids because strength isn't all baseball requires... if that were true, bodybuilders would be signed left and right! Hand-eye coordination is probably one of the largest roles in the game; much moreso than strength in my opinion.
You think he would've hit 73 home runs in one season without steroids? Sorry but I gotta disagree with you there.
Why not, Albert Pujols might do it?
Roger Maris and Babe Ruth hit 61. Players and equipment today are far superior. 73 without steroids isn't far-fetched.
Well I mean the record is 60 for years and years, then finally somebody hits 61 and it's monumental. Then all of a sudden McGuire hits how many? 70. Destroys an 80-some-odd-year record by 10 and a 30+ year record by 9. And Bonds comes back in '02 and hits 73. The question is, can anybody really make the argument that McGuire wasn't a juicer? I doubt it. And it's the same way for Bonds, IMO. They were/are both tremendous athletes, but steroids put them over that edge.
Pujols won't do it. He may touch 60, but not 73. A juiced-up Pujols could. But he's natural, he plays by the rules. And he's very very good. But is he so much better than Bonds or McGuire? I don't think so.
Bonds would have hit somewhere between 80 and 90 had he not been walked so often. It sounds absurd to say but its true.
Im not so sure a juiced up Pujols could hit as many as the normal Pujols. They guy his some SERIOUS good shape, strong. Hes not really got much more room to grow without slowing him down if you ask me.

That's why he's a first baseman right now. 1B allows him to be pretty athletic and not have to make a ton of fielding plays, but to just get over to the bag and get a foot on it when he sees a ground ball hit. Plus, he can get bigger and not miss so many steps that he can't field his position.
I do love to watch Pujols hit though. Every big homerun, it really doesn't look like he's swinging hard. Every swing looks the same, whether he's aiming for a base hit or if he gets a pitch to drive out of the park. He's impressive.
