whatd he do this time Mega?
Bill O'Reilly???
At least he will speak the truth.
And with NO SPIN!!
I don't think he did anything. He's wanting to go somewhere to get more PT. This has been in the works for quite some time.
yyyyyeaaaahhhh mmmmhmmm
and Ironlung, I had heard WVU...that what you are hearing too?
Louisville. Another former Cane LB who went Juco is already there. I can't remember his name. Maybe Mega will.
Nate Harris is who you are thinking about, he was charged with armed robbery and never made it to miami.
Willie is transferring due to lack of playing time. Im sure the coaches would rather just have him at miami but they already have a star weakside linebacker named Jon Beason.
Truth is, for all of Williams athletic ability, he came to miami as a DE and moved to linebacker. He is very undisciplined, yet a playmaker...Lavar Arrington to a tee. Shannon and company dont like that type of player so thats one reason he never got any higher on the depth charts. Maybe he makes it somewhere else maybe not, but one thing that has to be noticed is, miami took a dude that was arrested 17 times. While at miami, he had no incidents. The program is squeaky clean.
to be clear i wasnt takin a shot at miami with my post...i just realized all of the arrests and the conditions under which he had a scholarship and knew he was transferring so i tried to put 2 and 2 together and apparently got 5
how does the miami offense look this year?
oh I figured you just read the article and were giving me a hard time. The offense looks better, but its hard to say how well they will play until the younger players on the offensive line develop. Cristabol can flat out recruit though, I would put him up against Bowden, Meyer, and Pete Carroll any day of the week, hes that good.
Ironlung, the article said that Miami likely wouldnt release him to Louisville or any other big east or acc school that they play. Personally I wouldnt care if he got released to Florida State, at this point he couldnt shine Buster Davis's shoes.
see thats what i thought and i hadnt read the article and i knew WVU was being considered
btw, do you have a link to the article?
its the top article on miami.rivals.com
gotcha thanks
On a brighter note,Shields qualified by the skin of his teeth. That pretty much means there was no way Hazelton or Parker for that matter would have qualified.
not lookin forward to seeing Shields in Lane Stadium
IMO he was the best WR you got and on the same level as Hazelton
Hey Mega how are things going at the U.. i hope its a better season than last.. hate to hear bout willie leaving but oh well.. how is moss doing?.
Ty is still working on rehab. After that he will have to lose some weight to get back to where he was last year. I have alot of confidence that he will do that just because he worked so hard to get in shape last year.
Im not sure if things will get better this season, still have offensive line problems but the offense should still be improved due to better qb play and getting the receivers the ball in the right positions for them to make plays. I foresee a 10-2 kinda year. Right tackle is the spot that they have to get fixed, its a mess.

University of Miami sophomore Willie Williams, the nation's most highly recruited linebacker two years ago, has told coach Larry Coker he is interested in transferring, Coker said Tuesday.
Williams wants to go to a school where he has an opportunity to be a starter, according to a UM source and another person close to the situation.
Though Coker stopped short of saying Williams' decision is final, a UM official said Williams is seeking his release and his departure is considered very likely, barring a surprising change of heart. UM is expected to grant Williams' release once he picks a new school.
Asked to confirm if Williams had requested a transfer, Coker said, ''I am aware of Willie's interest in transferring, and whatever is best for Willie, I will be in favor of.'' Coker did not comment further.
Williams, a Carol City High graduate, was the only player who missed most of UM's voluntary offseason workouts.
He could not be reached for comment, and it was unclear where he would transfer. WQAM's Orlando Alzugaray, who reported rumors of Williams' interest in transferring, has mentioned Tennessee as a possible destination. However, a Big East source said Tuesday that West Virginia was a strong contender. Louisville also has been mentioned.
Williams would be required to sit out one season if he transfers to another Division I-A school.
Williams entered spring practice No. 2 on the depth chart at weak-side linebacker behind Jon Beason, who was considered UM's most productive linebacker last season. Williams then missed most of the spring drills because of a stomach virus.
On his spring tour of the state to address alumni, Coker told one audience he considered moving Beason to another linebacker position -- which would have created more playing time for Williams -- but his defensive coaches convinced him not to do that because Beason was so productive last season. Sophomore Spencer Adkins would be Beason's top backup if Williams leaves.
Tavares Gooden and Romeo Davis are competing at strong-side linebacker, and Glenn Cook and Darryl Sharpton are battling at middle linebacker.
I think T Good, Beason, and Sharpton will be the starters. Sharpton is brilliant, very Jon Vilma like. If the DT's can keep guys off of him, he could have a huge year.

Your right he prolly wouldn't get much PT at FSU either, thier loaded at LB...
He mentioned Tennessee and Louisville as his favorites. Tennessee is loaded with linebackers, and they don't need the scum anyway.
Fulmer said today in the KNS that they're not interested in W.W.
I wouldn't go off the deep end on the guy though, q. Since he's been in college he's stayed on the deans list and hasn't had any trouble what so ever. All his problems happened when he was a kid. I think the kid's cleaned up his act and is just looking for a place to get on the field.
no one ever publishes the good news like that though, wouldnt matter if the kid went on to be a Rhodes scholar theyd still write about the arrests
Former University of Miami linebacker Willie Williams, one of the school's biggest and most controversial football recruits in recent memory, will transfer to West Virginia after requesting and receiving his release last Tuesday from the Hurricanes, Yahoo! Sports has learned.
Williams, who missed spring drills while recovering from knee surgery, must sit out the upcoming 2006 season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining once he joins the Big East powerhouse.
The Mountaineers are not only favored to capture the Big East title but they are also expected to challenge for this season's BCS championship game.
"Whatever is best for Willie, I will be in favor of," Miami head coach Larry Coker said in a statement released by the school last Tuesday.
Williams played mostly as a backup linebacker and on coverage units last year, but he felt a little out of place when he was not able to practice and compete for increased playing time in the spring.
The one-time top-rated linebacker prospect in the country was granted admission to Miami despite some negative publicity. He spent time in jail for violating his probation, which stemmed from 11 arrests for various burglary and other offenses during his high school days. Out of high school, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound Williams was timed in the 4.4-second range in the 40-yard dash and recorded a 35-inch vertical jump and 330-pound bench press.
Williams' transfer plans fit perfectly for the Mountaineers, whose current starting weak-side linebacker ? Kevin McLee ? is a senior. McLee's departure will leave the position open for Williams to win next spring.
Williams may recognize at least one familiar face when he arrives on the West Virginia campus as current Mountaineers junior wide receiver/quarterback Dwayne Thompson was also a highly recruited prospect out of Dade County in Miami.
I also heard that Avery Atkins from Florida is transferring to Bethune Cookman.
Is UF going to let Atkins out?
At first, there was a huge mess about everything, including some of the posters on Warchant, but I havent checked up on anything.
This is starting to get amusing. West Virginia now doesnt want Willie Williams.
