Good idea. But you can also go to http://www.gotricities.com/movies/ for the drive in and all local theaters. Only issue with them is they don't change the page until late Thur/early Fri of each week. So posting it here by Wed or Thur would definitely be quicker.
If anyone goes let me know how the crowd is.
Just got back, crowd was very large. One of the biggest I've seen. Business seems to be very good. Food was great as always but I didn't really care too much for Pirates of the Carribbean.
this weekend it will be
SUPERMAN RETURNS
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 2
I didn't really care that much for Pirates 2.
First one was ok. Little over kill now i think for it at the Drive in. What is this the third week it's being held over.

overkill? I would say not. It is still the #1 movie in America and has been a huge draw for the drive-in. I have not seen it this crowded back to back since I was a kid.
Well starbuck honestly seems like lately anything i say you seem to have a reply and kinda pissy toward me.
But yeah three weeks held over at a drive in is a bit over kill.
I love the drive in. Frequent it as often as i can. But come on. Three weeks of one movie. Even that is a bit of overkill.
It's decent but not that great of a movie much like any other sequel.
Even you would have to admit that.
I can see two weekends but three?
Looking back at the Drive-In's previous years, though, the films have been pretty lackluster.
This year they've been putting on a pounding... tons of great movies. Was going to go there Sunday, actually, but didn't feel like it so I put it off.
Hell, look at what's coming this weekend -- Superman and Pirates 2. Imagine how much THIS roundup will get.
Pirates of the Caribbean looks pretty cool, but I never cared much for the first one and just really don't see what all the fuss is about. Cars looked pretty cool, though. Pixar never fails to make great films for everyone.
(Just my personal opinions -- do not get upset if you disagree, please)

I hate you feel that way, it was not meant tha way. I was just trying to state that when you have the #1 movie out and you are pulling in the cars they are right now you ride the horse till it has run it's course. I personaly would like to go this weekend and see Superman and something new but they are business to make money and Pirates is making that money. Plus it is very possible if not probable that to get the movie opening day they had to agree to keep it for "X" amount's of weeks.
Possibly that is the reason. But i think 3-4 weeks is a bit much.
If you want to draw a crowd show it 2 weeks change and thing bring it back. Crowd is looking to find it by then.
Which that is just me.
I have only been in management for 20 some years. But i know a little on how to keep people coming.
You burn them out. They don't come back to fast.
I've seen that happen at Blackwood very often.
Maybe your correct.
As far as me and the pissy part.
Well that is just me. I say what i think. I don't play up to the masses or the crowds.
It sometimes makes me popular on here and sometimes it makes me unpopular.
But you know at my age i learned one thing.
Like me or hate. I'm gonna say what i think.
To those who are new or those who have been here as long or longer than me.
That is just me.
starbuck. Just wanted to say an apology. After the other day. I was just in the mood to jump to quick. Hope it did no damage.
I know sometimes what happens away from here we can bring here. Sometimes like work, we don't need to but it can spill over.
Again. Sorry if what i said was a bit much. Just had a lot on my mind and was a little quick with everyone. Had to apologize to several.
this week we have
YOU, ME AND DUPREE
MY SUPER EX-GIRL FRIEND
Bummer.
Talladega Nights
Little Man
SAW III
what else is on?
Saw III with Texas Chainsaw Massacare
This weekend there will be a Saw triple feature, SAW I will be at 7:00, SAW II at 9:00, and Saw III at 10:45.
it's that time again
Last weekend kicked it off! Free movie, good food, good weather.
The will be showing 300, Wild Hogs, and I forget what else soon.
This week is Ghost Rider and Premonition according to the paper.
We went last week. Unaccompanied Minors was awful but as usual the food was great! (Once you finally worked your way through the line).
We'll be going back this weekend.
what is playing this week, anyone know?
1)Wild Hogs 8:30 (I highly recommend seeing this!)
2)Ghostrider 10:15
Wild Hogs was fair,, but far from great. Martin Larwence was the one who kept the movie decent. One of Travolta's worst movies.
William H. Macy was the funniest one I thought.
He was too predictable. Tim Allen was a bore.
I thought it was a hilariously funny movie. Some older actors just having fun. It was worth seeing.
The weekend of April 13:
1) Bridge to Terabithia
2) Wild Hogs

2 good movies. I enjoyed them both Friday night
Their phone system appears messed up this week.
All I know there is a suspense film and a horror film playing this weekend. The phone cuts off before the message finishes.
The Reaping
The Hills Have Eyes 2
Not going this weekend. Wife has already seen The Reaping and we don't have much interest in the other one.
I'll miss the cheeseburger and apple sticks though
Are the bathrooms any better than they used to be? LOL
Yeah, believe it or not they did fix the bathrooms!
Cleaned and painted and replumbed.
Do they have new toilets, too? I can't imagine the drive in bathrooms being so decent. Those nasty bathrooms were like a staple of the drive in. LOL
April 27, 28 & 29:
1) Blades of Glory (start time 9:00 pm)
2) Norbit
May 4, 5, 6 and 7
Spiderman III
9:00 pm and 11:45 pm all 4 nights.
No double feature?? What is everyone supposed to do after the 1st showing..jockey for position on the back row??
Showing Spiderman 3 back to back.
