Then at some point the trail will stop. Where did I go. Your pet beaver picks up my scent and you find a faint trail of footprints that looks like it was poorly covered over. Was it a shabby job or did someone want somebody to find the trail?
The faint trail of footprints stop. You are lead out into a clearing. There is nothing but six foot high grass. You look 100 yards to your left and see a the blades broken like someone was desperate enough to run into this grassy abyss. You see the blood again. You follow the trail, knowing the hunt will be over soon.
As you come out of the grass you come to a mountain. The terrain is rough. How can someone in the state that your helpless prey is in scale such a hill. You spot another trail of broken branches used almost as steps switchbacking up the mountain. You are weary but you know what awaits you at the top.
At the top of the mountain, you find a cabin. The smell is foul as if the scent of death is near. You load your 12 gauge. You then discard it for your knife. After a hunt like this, you want to put your game above your fireplace. No need blowing his head off.
You enter the cabin. The smell of death gets stronger. You get eager. As you close the door, a trap door open right underneath your feet. You fall fifteen feet onto the hard ground.
When you come to, you are bound and gagged. Your eyelids are propped open. You can't move. You can't even stand because your legs were broken in the fall. There I am. You wanted to watch me die. Didn't you? I slice a thin cut in your wrists, just enough for the blood to trickle out slowly.
You can't move. You are going to die slowly.
You wanted to watch me die.
This isn't about me wanting to watch you die.
