I just wanted to share

My husband and I have decided that it is time for us to add another edition to the family, this time we don't mean an animal. We kept saying one day and we have now decided that someday has come. We are 28 and 30 and we are not getting any younger. I had to share it with others, I am excited about it. I just haven't told my daddy cause he will have a anuerysm I think. He already freaks out over anything I do because of my multiple sclerosis. I am between telling him now or a little later OR when I am pregnant. We want to prepare some and make sure that everything is somewhat stable in life, which for the most part we are but ya know everyone has a little debt to get down. I just started a new job in April and I need to build some time up, which should not be that hard. Have you people seen the price of formula---almost makes me wish I would qualify for WIC lol. I bought some diapers for my nephew the other day and nearly had a heartattack..... [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img]

I hear she has been sick as a dog....last time I talked to her she couldn't eat a thing, I gave her some tips poor thing went to the ER thinking she had an ulcer, turns out she had a growth lol

Have you guys seen the names out there?!?!?!?!?! There are truly some messed up ones I tell ya.
I am excited yet scared to death, with my line of work you can't help but be...there is so much to think about. My daughter was not something planned I was so young there was so much I didn't have to worry about. I have to say my father was a godsend, even if her father was not. I look forward to the day that I have a loving man to share the experience with. My previous job was working with developmentally delayed children and drug exposed infants, I guess for so long I was scared of having anymore kids because you don't know what can happen. I guess my training will come in handy even if everything goes well. We have been keeping my nephew some over the past several months, he is truly a doll, he was a "blue baby" was born by emergency c-section due to the cord being wrapped around his neck. He is doing wonderfully and is sharp as a tack. He is a joy to be around and cute as heck. He is now 2 and a half and you would never know he came in the world in such a hard way....I am sorry to ramble, this was a decision that we made this weekend, and I have been trying to figure today what all I have to do.

I personally like Gracelyn for female....with a simple middle name don't want the kid to flunk out of school for not being able to write her name....something like Eve or Hope

My good friend Greg Lester and his fiance' are thinking about having a child, and believe it or not, he is seriously considering naming his son (if it's a son). Morris Lester. He says that the humor would be appreciated. Mo Lester-geez. I sure hope they have a daughter!

Graduated with a gal that actually gave her son her hubby's name Peter Wyckoff. He goes to school at WPS with my kids.

Congrats Craes. Speaking from experience at this current time, yes formula and diapers can put a dent in things a little. One suggestion I would make, is to get a Wal-Mart gift card, and start putting like $25 bucks on it every pay day to build it up till the baby is born. That way, for a while at least, you just have to run up and grab whatever without taking too much extra hit out of the bank.

Good luck. I hope everything goes well, especially that your MS stays under control while you are expecting. Heck, I hope it stays under control even when you are not expecting.

thanks for the well wishes and that is a great idea....something we can do even while we are preparing, I have several doctors to consult with and I have to go off my medications for a period of time before trying anything.....sooooo I guess I need to get my butt over to Kingsport to see my neurologist. I haven't been at my job too long so I need to see what will be needed to accrue some time. Which once I have been her for 6 months I can start pulling call which is extra income, we can put that whole amount on to a card each time I do the call. That is truly a wonderful idea. Thanks for sharing that.

No problem at all. It is something I done which has helped, although my daughter came much earlier than expected, and now its about used up! It was nice while it lasted though.

just make sure the card won't expire before you use them is the only thing I would say about that.

I have thought about telling everyone to get me walmart gift card's for Christmas and next birthday and see how close I come to getting a LCD tv.

I checked out the Walmart gift cards. They don't expire, and can hold $10 - $2500.

We'll probably start this early ourselves - be prepared. We hope that when that day comes we won't have to use formula, but you never know. All kinds of things happen to change the best laid plans.

It's better than a savings account at this point in time (with taxes, sorry interest rates, fees, hassle...).

I have doctor appointments to attend and what have you some other stuff I need to get in order prior to anything. He threw the big bomb on me last night that he would like to have two kids...I said uhhh let's get done with the first one please (of course twins does run in the family on my side at least)
