good luck with that...no way in hell he rushes for 2000+
I think he could come close to averaging 200 YPG would have a tough time in week one but untill the QB situation is worked out at GC Parks will be there main threat (And a pretty good one at that)
Wow 210 yard a game
Nearly 2.5 scores a game
Of course I guess if you count playoff games its possible, but ...wow
While I do think it is an optimistic prediction I don't think it is unreachable how many yards did Parks have last year 1500ish? another 500 is not out of the question
I don't think its unreachable. Not with the line they got.
Big Line Good back with a ton of speed with a coach that LOVES to run the football Parks could probably not ask for a better situation
No offense to Gate City but I highly doubt it. The guy's got talent. But no. No way he'll rush for that much. He will get maybe 1000 or a little over. But not 2300.
He got 1667 yards last year according to the football supplement. Honestly if the passing attack is down a bit, he very well may go over 2k.
Oh yeah, the TD prediction is a decease. He scored 24 last year. Wow I didn't realize he scored that much.
Parks is a good ball player the only thing that may hurt his stats would be injury and that is out of anyones hands
Wait does Trumpet know something...he has been saying a long year for GC, giving him low yards, hmmmmm
Trumpett have you been chasing some girl from GC or something? I've heard of that happening, the pretty girl tells the guy from the other school how bad things are just to poison the other team...
I fully expect to see Trumpett in the GC pep band now
If the passing game is down, then every other team will key in to stop the run making it harder for me to acheive 2000+ yds. If he didnt do it last year, he wont this year. But hey I wouldnt mind seeing him or anyone else in the LPD rush for that many yards. He is a good athlete. I just dont see it happening.
Well thats true, but you got to wonder if the defensives are as good, plus there is the fact that the GC line appears to be pretty much an experienced group, he's more experienced, etc. Most backs tend to go up most years in their career, they get bigger, stronger, etc.
I don't expect 2000 for him but I likewise don't expect it to be barely 1000 either.
IMHO a safe bett would put him closer to 2000 that to 1000
Oh he will get 1000+ yds easy. He's talented enough to get that with an inexperienced line. Like I said, I hope he does surpass 2000 yds. I just find it hard to believe that he can do it this year. Don't they, pretty much, have the same team coming back this year?
According to the article, most of them are back. 1500 should be safe.
Good luck going for 2000+ when you have to deal with that Blue Tornado defense in week one.
LOL if the Richlands D is anything like last season 100 yard might be hard to come by
Well rushed for only 26 last year versus them, so if he does slightly better, he should be able to better that. He only had 91 yards verus Coeburn (only 91 sounds funny to type) so thats another area of possible improvement.
I haven't been saying. I think they'll should do pretty good. They're GC. I was quoting something that she said.
The girl did go to prom with me.
GC may be worse than last year, we'll see. I guarantee Richlands will not have as good a Defense as last year. They had a ton of shutouts, and they played so good together. I didn't see much of a passing game at GC last year, so i actually don't get how that would be any worse. I don't project numbers for a kid, but i know Tyler is really fun to watch, and barring an injury i can see an excellent year again. Coach C. won't run him much if GC is way ahead in any games, which may be why he only had 91 against coeburn. He may have a better year if the Devils are a little worse than last year. (weird, huh?)
LOL yea i know what you mean....Parks could feast vs Richlands if Pulaskies first drive is any indacation of there run D this year
Arguing about whether a guy can get to 2,000 makes me think about what an accomplishment it was for TJ to go for 3,300 and 3,100 in consecutive seasons. Regardless of his talent, that was an amazing feat.
Or an indication of his coaches mindset. Get it while it's hot. TJ set the single game rushing record , it had stood since uncle Ed played. It was passed twice more in the same season once it was known and brought to the front.
Parks is one of the most talented backs in the lpd if not the most. He will have a great year if he is not injured.
Hes a force to be reckoned with.
1600 yards regular season. If gc gets deep into playoffs there is definetly a chance that parks will get over the 2000 mark. It also depends on gc's QB position. They probably won't be passing as much as they did last year with Thilee at QB. When it comes to the passing game, he won't have trouble throwing the deep ball, he has a good arm, but when it comes to short yardage passes, he's not too accurate. He also has trouble staying within the pocket and scrambling when needed. He would be much better at wide receiver or running back given his speed. Eric Hutchins or Jon Kerns would be better suited at the QB position.
agreed. I personally like Hutchins cause he's built and can take a beating and from what I've seen, he's a pretty acurate but Kerns is a good bet too for qb.
Parks will be keyed on by every defense, unlike past years when there were other offensive threats (talented and Experienced players in skilled positions).
