I SEEN HIM RUN OVER A COUPLE GUYS AT THE SCRIMAGE THIS FRIDAY....NEELEY IS A BEAST AS WELL CASEY BENTLY IS GONNA BE A HELP ON THAT LINE IS A PRETTY BIG GUY...ALL IN ALL WE GOT A GREAT OFFENSIVE LINE...OUR DEFENSE FROM WHAT I SAW COULD IN FACT COULD USE A LITTLE WORK BUT THAT WORK WILL BE DONE BY THE SEASON.....NO ONE IN THE LPD AS GOT ANYTHING ON US I PREDICT WE GO ATLEAST GO 9-1 BUT I BET WE GO UNDEFEATED THIS YEAR AND MAYBE GO TO STATE AND STOMP SOME A**

Been awhile since the mighty LPD has won the bling. Sadly, the rest of the state has surpassed us. I do not believe everything I hear anymore. "Great" teams around here just don't get it done anymore. Sadly, that is true in baseball as well.

look at our team i mean come'on yeah we were good last year and we werent as big and strong.....now we are bigger and stronger i mean we just beat christiansburg in that scrimage and last year they killed us if i dont recall..

Yep-and I think JJK has a shot to win it in baseball, but until I SEE it done, I am not trying to hear it.

I hope PV wins state this year as well but focus on Lee High right now.

as a graduate, ex-player, and one who hopes the team does well...spare us.

Its hard enough to win games, (and past that, other things like the district, region or state) without people blowing smoke up a bunch of 15 to 18 yr olds' backsides.

Let's keep things in prospective. The team last year, though impressive and better than expected, produced exactly zero championships of any kind.

If you want the program to do well, you'll have reserved excitment and optimism for the team. Theres nothing wrong with being excited about the team and their chances, but comments like that do more damage than good.

It`s just rediculous and embarrasing to the school. Especially if this is a player, because I can assure any player with an attitude such as that, you WILL get put in your place. Then all the talking you have done before the 1st snap of the first game has even taken place will be thrown back in your face. PV probably has the best team in the LPD this year. It's like stripes and I were talking about the other night though, even if they're the best team in the LPD this year they'd finish in the middle of the pack in 10-12 of the last 15 years. The talent level in Region D is SOOOOOOOOOOOO far behind what it has been. The only team that's been as good as some of those 90's teams, were one or two of the GC teams. If PV'd taken one of those 90's teams to play MP, they'd have thumped them by 50. This guys hyping up a team as the greatest of all time when they got beat by a CW team that got beat by Pound. PV has 0 chance of winning a state title this year. If they do, please come find me.

The other option is that its someone from BSG who is definitely high on their team. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with being confident, but confident and cocky are totally different creatures.

PV is definitely the favorte to win the district (everything I have seen has predicted it as that). They have a good shot at going a good ways and hey, if they improve and execute, I wouldn't be shocked for a title to come down BSG way. That being said, one mistake at the wrong time can end a glorious year. Its happened.

I wouldn't say a 0% chance at state as mentioned in an above post, but I'd say it hinges on the improvement of the o and d lines. If that happens and with the skill people PV has, the title game could be a shoot out! Only time will tell-Just play the games already and shut your big a@# mouth. Let the boys have soem fun and play some ball. Let their abilities on the field do the talking-whether it is Ervington, Pound, or PV.

Upon consideration of the recent performance by Powell valley at the rain shortened Jamboree, in addition to other factors including the presence of the talented young Pinkston brothers the much improved Brian Murphy and of course the returning all-stater Jason Neeley it is my humble belief that the Viking's may well go 9-1 or better in the regular season.
