Pv or Lee High
PV should take it.
I hear Phil's going for 80 this time. That's the word on the street.
Man you already know that pvs gonna take that boot cuz lee high aint got Shi* on us.......
8 posts...you've already tried to circumvent the profanity filter multiple times...keep it up you won't reach 20 posts
Go ahead and give him the "Boot".
Nice, "pun"man.
PV should take it fairly easily just like most of the recent years
Phil's gonna take that boot and shove it way up Bobby's John Brown hind parts. Sorry to say it but the truth is the truth.
PV easily.
I dont like making prdictions--an ethics thing--but I will say this: Lee High has home field advantage, most of their boys have never been on a losing team and thus do not have the LHS plague, the coverage on here of the Appy-Lee game was skewed at best, and Bostic knows all the ins and outs of their passing system, including those sit down routes that are now the signature and staple. Also, if you look at Robbins' track record running the ball @ 5-Star Stadium, especially with the Jones brothers, it isnt pretty.
I played for Lee HS, so I guess I have bias. However, I taught at PV, so I know their coaches better than I know the new staff at LHS. I really dont mind who wins; I just had to play the devil's advocate. I do hope it is a close, hard fought game.
Unfortunately, I am moving this Thursday: New Haven, Connecticut, and Ivy League football, here I come--boring. I'm sure gonna miss D-B, SWVA, SEC and SoCon football. Hopefully, I'll get to watch a Boston College or Patriots home game.
I wouldn't mind seeing an upset, but if lee comes with 3 TDs of PV it'll be a miracle.
an upset could possibly be the best thing to ever happen to the Vikes! Let them know early they are beatable, and bring em down to earth and allow them to play football.
Gosh, I am so sorry that you have to move up into the home of real ugly and dull football. New Haven used to have a decent college team (NCAA DII), but I don't even know if they still play. Good luck.

They also had it back in 2002, and who won that game?
And dont forget 1994 and 1996, versus Thomas and Julius respectively.
Well, although I'm from Lee, it's hard to brag much about the '96 game b/c PV was basically all sophomores. You're right about the '94 game (Lee 36 PV 22) and the '95 game was a good one too (PV 48 Lee 33). I've always thought that if we could've switched coaching staffs that we would've won the '95 game and the '98 game by 2 TD's (PV 21 Lee 18) But that's just my opinion and an unrealistic scenario!!!
Anyway, as far as the matchup Friday night, I look for PV to win by a minimum of 28 points.

there is alot of teams that have SH** on pv its just that we only play 2 of those teams in the regular season. and the rest of the season all we play are crappy teams i.e. WISE
I really just hope to see a good game. Even with Lee struggling, it is still a big crowd game. I remember when this was one of the most exciting games of the year and I would like to see that return. Lee will get back on the winning track and there is plenty of talent if the coach can put it all together.
So you are going to point the finger at WISE? We see that from alot of PV folks, yet folks from PV forget that before Phil rolled in, their program was struggling. Arrogant comments like that are why so many folks despise the Vikes. We feel your pain though. For years our baseball program suffered because we only played one or two decent teams all year, and spent the rest of our time beating up on crappy teams i.e. PV
I may be wrong but I thought that PV had won a State tile a year or two before Phil took over.
They may have, but back in the 70's they were terrible. You can start a poll and ask which team do you enjoy seeing lose/despise the most and PV would rack up because of folks like that last poster. Some would say it's because of success, but folks don't despise APPY that way, and they have had plenty of success. It is how you do things. I know so many that actually pull for PV to fall when they get to state, and that is sad. When MP beat them, I felt low because I really like PHD-think he's a good person, and was talking to some friends from Wise, Norton, and Appy, and they were trying to find their violin strings. History has a way of repeating itself. Back when PV was bad, Wise was good. Our program is going to turn the corner, starting this year. Within the next couple of years, we are going to be as good as anybody. Phil isn't going to be at PV forever. Who is to say that the program there will not struggle when he's gone? Laughing at someone's expense is classless (especially when you were there at one time). Cycles come and go.
They did win State in '82 and Phil took over in '83
I thought that was the case I know there have been alot of people point out the Phil walked into a great situation at PV when he did
I think PV should win big. But if Lee High happens to upset us then I'll congratulate them. It will at least show PV that while they may be awesome this year that they're still beatable.
I am a proud '06 graduate of PV but I am not proud of how some of our attitudes are.
That is true but the thing is we have earned our right to be arrogant when it comes to football.. just like wise can be about baseball because they have a solid program. PV's baseball program has really suffered through out the recent years based upon some of the poor coaching and the lack of the necessary talent needed, but we did have a few exceptions to this though.

I realize you are trying to prove a point... but the past couple of seasons Kelly baseball hasn't exactly been "beating up" on us. We split with them the past two regular seasons, 2-2, and both teams went to state once apiece. Not exactly a dominance by either side.
