End of the third, score in Coeburn is 41-20. Don't know who was leading as I just drove by the stadium. If Coeburn's scoreboard is as most scoreboards are (home team on the left, visitor on the right), then TS is leading.
28-0 PV over Lee with 2 minutes left in the 3rd.
I wonder why WNVA isn't covering a game tonight?
Coeburn is on the right of the scoreboard if you are looking at it. visitors are on the left. The last time i looked coeburn was winning 27-7. So coeburn is winning this game
Clintwood was up 40-6 over Grundy when I left with about 7 minutes left in the game.
Then Coeburn is leading 41-20.
Clintwood beat Grundy 40 or 41-14. Grundy fumbled 7 times, lost 4 of those.
Grundy was extremely sloppy with the football.
Any news on Pound and Ervington???
I would really like to hear some info on that one as well.
Last I heard was with 5-minutes to go in the 3rd, Patrick Henry 14 - Kelly 6.
Report was Kelly fumbled twice inside Patrick Henry's Red Zone in the first half, so it sounds like they have had their chances.

Yes. The defense is not but the offense is probably better.
Sounds like Clintwood has Grundy's number...I thought Clintwood would win but thought it might be closer. However when I heard Bronson Brown and Josh McCowan both were injured for Grundy i knew they wouldn't have much of a chance. Probably their 2 best players.

I'm not sure, but the offense was definately a lot better than GC's defense. GC is young (more so than i expected) They played hard and surprised Richlands a little bit early on the offensive side. The outcome was never really in doubt (in my mind) Richlands was just the better team. GC will be okay. I was proud of the effort.
**On a side note, it may have been the best refereed game i have ever seen. They got every call i saw correct for both teams. I saw every late hit, holding, and even pass interferences (including an offensive one on Richlands)the same way they did.
Word I got was Richlands took out their first unit early in the 3rd qtr with the score 42-14. Could've scored 60 easily.
They took most of their starters out with about 5:00 to go in the 3rd. Probably would have scored more points. I really think their offense was better than last year.

It could have been any score they wanted.
Final: Patrick Henry 27 - Kelly 14, with Kelly's 2nd score coming against Patrick Henry's 2nd Team.
They had way too many skill people for our defense to handle.
Still a classy move by Richlands coaching staff...you don't want to run the score up on GC because you know they will have their chances to run it up on u some years.

Yes it was. They have a very good football team. Their pass defense will need to tighen up a bit, we had nothing for them. Our kids never quit. Effort was good, just got beat by a better team.
Best QB in Southwest Virginia. They're VERY good offensively. We need some major tackling practice and sled work. I think our offense will be fine. I counted at least 7 sophomores playing defense on several occasions. I was tickled to death with the effort. We were simply outmanned all over the field.
It wouldnt hurt me if they left them in and scored 70 on us. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
McCracken is one of the better QB's in the state.
How was Parks able to do against their 1st unit defense?
I think we'll be competitive in most games we play this year. Should only get better.

If i'm not mistaken Dockery scored all 4 TD's for TS, I know for fact all TD's were long passes. Coeburn scored every time they had the ball except for one drive that stalled in the redzone.

Some interesting scores for Richlands fans: Graham spanked defending WVA AA state champion Bluefield 26-6. Tazewell blasted George Wythe 37-7. Don't know if their is a tougher AA district in the state than the Southwest.

Graham and Tazewell look to be quite tough this year. Big win for the G-Men in Beaver Stadium.
