I guess Appy doesn't look like such a slouch now do they.
Could be the case, or Clintwood isnt so hot.
We have 180 kids in our school and we are playing other schools with about the same amount, that is the way it goes....The Burton/PV game should be a good one like last year, Yes PV plays a tougher schedule, they should they are 4 times our size. PV in the past considered Norton a cupcake, not anymore. Do you want Norton to schedule teams 6-7 times our size, will that make you happy.
PV has 720 kids??
thats news to me
Excuse me smart@$$, 2.5 times larger than Burton
Used too? Pv still considers Norton a cupcake, 1 win per 20 years doesnt make you world beaters, nobody and i mean nobody from Pv sweats JIB.
Maybe they should have last year.
Bwahahahhahahahahahhahahahah.
... Ahahahahhaha.
Wait until the Burton game this year.
'Nuff said.
Ha, Ha, actually it's 2 wins in 20 years, get it right. And I didn't say Norton was world beaters.
Keep it up Chubz, I might have to change my name. 10% winning percentage isnt bad.
sorry, 2 wins in 23 years, you were right

Burton's coaches would do themselves well to study the Breathitt-PV game film and memorize Breathitt's defensive scheme. In my opinion, they have the athletes to shut PV down completely if they follow Breathitt's plan.
Maybe since PV is such world beaters they should schedule Richlands, UVA-Wise, Emory & Henry, or maybe even Virginia Tech, they would probably throw them on the schedule
Actually Richlands is on the schedule next year.
I would say Jimbo was calling all over the place to get that tape sometime on his way home from Wise last night, they had a pretty good gameplan last year, I think they have a shot at getting a W
Is that because they graduate everybody?
Yeah boy, they graduate everybody just like every other team. Richlands would appreciate your comments on their teamn.
WHAT?? They're very heavily senior laden. Do you think I care what Richlands thinks of what I say about their team? In what way is that me saying something about Richlands team?? You prepubesant children amuse me.

Sorry Chubby.......Norton beat PV 6-3 in 1991 and they beat them last year (2005), so that's twice in 14 years.
i don't see how it does the raiders any good to play the non-district softies that are on their schedule. they have a very good group of athletes right now, and have seen this group coming for a long time. if they want to get over the hump and win that state championship, they should beef up their schedule. the only way to get better is to play better teams.
Picking up Haysi again wouldn't hurt the Raiders-would be much better than CW/SP.
Lee High is on the schedule next year in place of Castlewood....I do know that
I was about to say "well that's a start Lee High is Double A" but then I realized they're moving down next year.
you ever think of teams' schedules already being full??...
that could be one of the problems....
plus how many D-2 teams want to schedule a D-1 team that has more than a chance to beat them? Isn't that why D-B wont schedule Gate City or PV? A loss for Haysi to D-1 JIB isn't a good thing for them. although Lee will be droping down they are the exception. They will still have the numbers of a AA team i think, someone correct me if I"m wrong.
2007 is the moment some Lee High faithfull have been waiting for I would think.
JIB's next challenge is not to listen to crap like yours. They need to stay focused and play one game at a time, and forget about all this "hype" they are receiving. Anyone can sneak up on you and knock you off in the LPD. Stay focused Raiders.
This may be a reason Burton beat PV besides the fact that they were probably just better than them. PV did take them too lightly because the schedule. Strength of schedule shouldn't determine the better team but Burton really should beef up their schedule. The b est non district Single A opponent for Burton would be Haysi.
I don't think Norton will have any trouble staying focused. While I don't care for Norton very much (long story), I have a tremendous amount of respect for what Adams has done there over the last few years.
IMO Adams is the best coach in the LPD right now.
