I've heard the same rumor from a reliable source. Says that several starters were doing things they shouldn't do, but that they doubt anything will be done about it.

I have heard the same from a very reliable source, but do you honestly think that right before one of the biggest games of the year that anything would be done about it! I don't think so....
I would hope that at any school if a athlete does something bad then they are dealt with in a right way. But maybe accordingly to who you are, if you are an important player or one of the key players then you can get by with alot more than the other players. That is not a good example for the coach to set or for the other players to see that. I hope this rumor isn't true because I believe the game this friday will probably be the best one this year to watch. I am glad that Pound is open this weekend cause I hope to see a good ball game friday night.
Same here I wouldn't miss PV getting a good whooping on the field.
It should be a good game with tough playing by both teams on both sides of the ball.
Burton's defense will really have to step it up if Powell Valley decides to take the chains off of Malcolm Pinkston like they did versus Pound. The passing game may also be a problem, but I don't think it will be enough Offensively for Powell Valley.. they'll have to mix it up IMO.
Burton has an arsenal and seems to be using a nice balance of passing and running, both of which I've seen them have a good amount of success with. Let's also not forget their speedy, powerful defense. However, will Powell Valley's Defense step up enough to take down their Offense?
It's going to be a war out there, that's for sure.. Last year's game was nothing short of awesome.
No matter what happens with PV, Burton will still win by at least 3 touchdowns.
Jaymil Sensabaugh will run wild against the Vikings. I haven't seen PV play, but from what I heard they are horrible on the edges. Look for 150+ yards from him.
It appears they are trying to sweep this under the rug but is that possible. Countless sources have informed me of an incident everyone is hoping will just go away. It looks like we won't hear about it this week but I believe the school board already has.

I am in talks right now with Phil Robbins to be head coach at GC. He will start next year when Nick Colobro becomes principal.

Yeah for real. I've heard some news of this "so called incident". But no one has said who or what it was.
One person has told me it was a party or something where alcohol was involved and the cops showed up and busted some people. Then, someone else said that wasn't it at all.

I heard that a few of the guys on the team got cought drinking this pass weekend.I think I can trust the person who told me about it.A lot going on bout something happening but a lot of talk about what it was.And maybe they were hoping it wouldn't come out.Are you kidding me?Do something bad and you can count on it being told.But I think they know what a hurting they're gonna get tonight...but to lose a few starters*just ain't good when they need um most.Go Burton!*!*!*!
It's funny how somebody from Pound gets hurt against PV and all the people from Pound who HATED Burton last year. (The onfield fight) All of a sudden start pulling for Burton to beat PV. I honestly don't think I could even have an opinion on this game if I was from Pound.

I have never seen a PV club that went into a game thinking they had no shot to win. The Vikes get their confidence directly from their boss, and I guarentee that Phil and his boys will roll into Norhi feeling that they have something to prove. Blowout Raider victory? I'm not expecting one.
This game is not going to be a blowout IMO. I think PV will win by 1 point. PV should have had time to work on their problems.
Wish I could be there. I would not take a PV team (a very angry one at that) too lightly.
Folks are writing PV off at 2-2. PV's 2 losses came from scheduling programs considerably bigger and better than the one's we have in the LPD right now.
I don't think that someone predicting a particular team to beat another team is 'writing a team off'. Its just so far, that Burtons strength seems to be PV weakness and thats why lots are predicting Burton to win. Wouldn't shock me if PV pulled it off, but writing them off? Yes a Pound player was hurt last friday night, does POUND hate PV because of it, Please shut up or grow up. No one from Pound hates PV. Do you even play football or are you one who likes to talk trash when you yourself rely on he said she said crap.
Before you run your mouth about Pound, trust me you should focus on your own school and their games ahead. Was you at the game between Pound and PV? Probably not, so therefore your input on anything about Pound is not worth much.
These highschool games are just that--games. Sometimes too much is put into these games and you are one of them sounds like. Whatever happened last year has two sides to it, but moving into another year one should not be talking of the past but preparing for the now. True one can get hyped up over hard hitting football from past games, but the point is why are you wanting to bring up two games that have nothing to do with you. Your team has had enough problems of their own, which I am sure you are tired of hearing. jugggernaut, there wasn't any drama between Wise and Norton last year. There was a fight in the stands between someone from Norton and a UVA-Wise student, and an altercation between two Kelly students. The games have been clean the past few years without any problems.
Rumors of any "incident" last weekend are just that... rumors. There is not one shred of truth to this. Just more PV-haters trying to convince more people to become PV-haters. Our players play dirty, our players are alcoholics, our players are druggies, our players are all holdbacks, the Pinkstons are really 17 years old, Phil takes bribes to play certain people's kids, my son was the best but he rode the pine because so-and-so's daddy is rich, our quarterback is too dumb to run the offense, etc. etc. etc. NEED I GO ON?

Hey, I heard a rumor that a bunch of [censored] adults sit around and, instead of having intelligent discussions about their favorite high school sports and teams, they run down and insult young people who are just trying to go out, have fun, and win a few ballgames.

so where was the party after last night's loss? guess you are the personal defender of PV football. I heard a rumor that you are just sweeping things under the rug. Looks like suspended or not the Raiders inflicted their own punishment without PV handing it out. Not insulting anyone on this forum, seems like your awful worried about rumors doesn't it. It never happened, they choose to block out all the bad and remeber only the good, to bad they have only played 2 games this year so far and everyone else has played at least 5.
