PV

Was talkin to a friend today and said a lady at work told him that there was a few football players from PV arrested today for something that happened after the PV-Pound game?...anyone know any truth to this??

Heard about this thrusday, the police should have made the arrests earlier since they had a whole week but they waited till after they lost to Burton. I guess they figured they needed them for Burton and could do without them the next week or so. I called this loss to Burton 2 weeeks before the game I knew that no matter what PV couldn't stop Burton and PV couldn't move the ball on Burton. Oh well just another day in the LPD.

This whole thing that was on the board a couple of weeks ago with the Pound folks saying a PV player tried to injure a Pound player purposely I thought was all a bunch of whining. I've heard from a very reliable source that saw the film that it was deliberate and don't be suprised if the VHSL doesn't get a copy of the film before it's all said and done.

This is all I'm saying about this, PV is in a mess.

Don't know about anything else going on in BSG but Pound sure has a legit grip now while I am sure that #40 was upset with the lack of holding call on #54 from Pound but what he did to the RB was just uncalled for I hope that the Refs keep a close eye on him the rest of the year

It definitely was a cheap play. I said I wanted to see it myself, and have now, and well, no question in it.

So are we talking about two separate incidents?

I know the story about several prominent players from PV getting drunk and reenacting a scene out of Varsity Blues. I would assume that incident is the one in which the police are involved.

Yep. It's two seperate incidents. The one with Pound happened during the game. The Pound folks were claiming a player tried to intentionally injure a player and from people who have seen the film and I think have impecable charactor, it's true.

So a PV player pulled a Vick? Or worse?

I may be the eternal pessimist, but I do belive PV is headed for a blowup of biblical proportions.

Well, Marcus did set the bar for low-class plays.

IMHO it is hard to say which would have been worse without knowing the players mindset both Vick and #40 were upset but IMHO I don't know that Vick tried to "Injure" the player that he stomped where as the 3 yank/twists that #40 put on the Pound player after the tackle were hard to read as anything other than intental

Well, having seen it, I disagree.

Accidents happen. Injuries happen. This was a deliberate attempt. Now like Counts said, #40 may have been mad that he had been held more or less the entire game, which he was (Pounds guy would engage, and fall backwards taking him with him). That being said, there is a huge difference in being upset you aren't getting the calls and a clear attempt to injure another player. Not saying that the Pound player is known for his fairplay either, but 2 wrongs certainly do not make a right.

So, is this verified? That several PV players (key players at that) were arrested?

Heard some were trying to put clamps on all this.

The VHSL had been contacted, about inapporiate player action, during games resulting in problems.

And some news had been linked to the VHSL of player conduct off the field.

Sounds like PV has their hands full. Not sure how Phil will cover this up. But it don't sound good.
About like the tape, in what 97, in which he knew nothing about, but was seen in the tape several times. Him and several PV coaches.

Oh well give'em enough rope. And without any one to supervise kids will be kids.

So what you are saying is that tring to injure another player after the play is OK? Or were the 3 yank/twists on the RBs ankel after the play was not an attempt to hurt him? I honistly don't think you could argue a 3rd option if you truly did see the play
