VT's not worth watching. Which old folks home do they play next week. I hear in 2 weeks they have a good matchup with a blind school.
BC up 7-3 at the half, should be 21-3. Hokies look worse tonight than against GT believe it or not. If I were Beamer I'd tell em to shut their mouths about guaranteed wins and focus on doing it on the field.
That has to be the worst review call ever.
I dont care if his arm is moving forward or not, the ball was still in his hand until it was knocked out, BACKWARDS, by the defender. That should always be a fumble. the arm moving forward thing is overdone. You gotta look at 1) if the fall is throw or knocked from his hand, and 2) did the ball go forward or backward. I dont know how a ball that is both knocked from the hand and goes backward is a pass.
I am not able to watch the game, but was the QB hit as he was attempting to throw or something? If the arm was going forward, it doesn't matter what direction the ball was going in after contact.
I don't know what's wrong with the ACC this year, but may Groh and the other ACC coaches are doing like Grobe's doing down in Wake Forest and instituting massive/mandatory red shirt programs to where we'll see a huge upswing in the ACC next year...
Oh wait, Groh burns redshirts like no other...
Will next year be like this too?
The DE looped around from the right and basically swatted the ball away, like a blocked shot in bball that was all ball. It wasnt like the QB was hit, the ball was stripped from teh QB's hand as he took it back to throw and when it was stripped it went backwards. Interesting play all around and a terrible call IMO.
Indisputable video evidence....his arm was going forward.
Macho Harris came to tech as a burn victim, now hes just burnt toast.
BC just scored again. 20-3 BC with 6:49 to go. This game is over.
Beamer will have a hard time sleepin tonight.

Yuck!
I only got to watch the second half of the game, but I came up with some changes that need to be made for the Hokies.
1. Get rid of Glennon. I know the offensive line isn't doing a great job, but he's just making too many bad decisions.
2. Make the punishment for personal fouls more strict. Chris Ellis should be suspended for that cheap shot late in the game.
Another thing worthy of noting is that Brendan Hill was dancing along with the band with his team trailing 20-3. I think there should be some action taken simply for that. Kirk Herbstreit made a good point regarding this issue. Ever since Michael Vick left and Tech has gotten some of the best players they are only concentrating about their future and the present. These guys need to shut up, concentrate, and play Tech, lunch pail ball.
I hope that's the last time I have to see that picture!
ok some observations
1. Glennon is fine, Glennon isn't a seasoned veteran, not much you can ask of a guy who sat out all of last year and only threw 7 passes in his freshman year, especially with the offensive line...Glennon's problems ALL stem from lack of experience, he can throw the ball, pretty accurate, stands in the pocket...his problems are he doesn't go through his progression or he does it too quickly, he tries to force plays (i.e. the flip pass to morgan which was thankfully caught) and doesn't have much of a sense of the pass rush...he does, however, make good reads before the snap, something you don't see with too many young qb's
2. get Branden Ore the [censored] ball...please...screens, middle screens, draws, off the tackles
3. enough with the WR screens, how come we can't run our WRs short over the middle like BC did all day long?? more effective than a flip to the outside and hope that we're faster than the defense
4. the TEs are young and thats a big piece missing from the offense, Stiney doesn't trust the TEs to run any drags over the middle or out in the flat, but that's something that again can be corrected through game experience only
5. thank God we have about 7 quality OL coming in next year, they'll be able to play right away
6. embarrassing...Brenden Hill, Aaron Rouse, Chris Ellis...especially Hill, he sucks to begin with and should be thankful Corey Gordon is dumb as a brick or he'd be on the sideline
7. Flowers had an uncharacteristic bad game...ok, an awful game...not something you'd expect from him...Macho relies more on his athletic ability than being sound fundamentally and I'm sure that's something Coach Gray will be working with throughout the year
8. hey Brenden Hill, seriously, stop dancing
9. this team just isn't tough mentally, from the loss last week to getting down early tonight, they just gave up...it's one thing to take a loss but another to give up and then try to punk people after plays are dead...this is one senior class that won't be missed
10. any hopes that Josh Morgan, Xavier Adibi or Chris Ellis had of going pro early were just shot down...that's unfortunate b/c im bout tired of seeing Ellis anyway
10. Brenden Hill sucks...period...stop dancing
11. dear Chris Ellis, please go pro, i have it on good authority that every team in the NFL wants you (wink)...just go ahead
12. Brenden Hill "the Dancing Outlaw"...seriously, stop dancing
I'm getting tired of seeing Ellis too. Wouldn't mind seeing him and Hill sit out the rest of the season. There's something about Rouse I just don't like either, but that's just me.
the thing about Rouse is that the dude is actually a decent guy off the field...he is just too caught up in trying to make money to support his wife and kid (understandable) but he is going about it in the wrong way
Brenden Hill...well i never liked the dude anyway and that was before anyone knew he existed and didnt really have to do with football
I'm a Tech fan, and I thought all along that Tech was overrated at the start of the season. I didn't feel as though we were as good as our initial ranking and that is proving on the field. We're starting a sophomore QB who, at this point last year, wasn't even expected to play just yet (with Vick the supposed starter). Our TEs aren't that good just yet and our defensive backs are putrid. It seems as though our front 7 has always been pretty stout, but our DBs have always been a problem. Even when we have a few decent names in the DB area, we still seemed to get torched from time to time by passing teams.
I dunno, we'll make a bowl game at least, but its a down year for sure for VT.
