About an 80% chance of rain for Friday. A couple of big games being played friday. Will this affect any of them? I dont think it will have any affect on the Burton/Clintwood game conidering both are mainly built for speed.

Weather will effect both teams equally. Does Clintwood have the same speed as Norton?

I've yet to see Clintwood play, but even without having watched them this year I would seriously doubt they could match Burton in terms of sheer speed.
I dont think Clintwood has the speed at each postion like Norton does, but as far as the skill positions Clintwood has as much speed as anybody.
Clintwood's brown field will be a muddy mess. They might as well play it on the tennis courts.
I have a feeling CW's secondary will be tested Friday night.
Like playing on carpet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I drove by there today, the field did look nice. But if we get as much rain as is forecasted, that dead bermuda will mud up like crazy.
Never has before.
The cold weather we've had over the last two weeks won't help any.
Just wish I could make it up for the game.
We could have a reunion of the p e r v e r t s!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing
#1 Burton has been airing it out the last few weeks
#2 Clintwood was able to stop/slowdown the Jet sweep last year
#3 Clintwood has been passed on by everyone who has tried to put the ball in the air vs them this year
IMHO Clintwood needs to stop the dive and the Jet sweep first and try to preasure Stacy as to not get beat deep by the pass

Im pretty sure the QB isnt Stacy anymore. If so, Jimbo and the City of Norton's school board are really really good.
LOL I am loseing my MIND!!!!!!!!
I was trying to think of the QB's name but I cant for the life of me. Seemed like Stacy was there forever though.
Ethan Stewart is the QB now....
Ethan has definately become a very good quarterback this year, not to say that he wasn't last year but so far this year he has 0 turnovers, no fumbles, no interceptions and he scrambled for 2 scores as well, I really don't know how many yards rushing he has but I would venture to say it is around 200 or so.
I would worry more about Miles just running over Cwood up the middle more than the Jet, and I would also look for Jimbo to work on passing more to try and get ready for the road ahead out of the region. I do look for Burton to win this one easily although I would like to see Cwood make me eat these words I just don't see that they have anything to match the size and speed of Burton.
With the exception of Miles and Godsey, Burton is fairly small, no bigger than they have been anyway.
Not any bigger than they have been but bigger than Cwood and have decent speed at more than just skill positions.

you forgot Skyler Peters in the size category along with Cortland Gales, Cody McElroy, Ryan Sluss, Bo Brickey, Logan Mitchell, Jarod Scalf, Coty Boatright, Lamaar Steele, Ian Powers, Logan Mullins, Coty Brummitte, Scott Sexton, All are over 200lbs. Then you have Martinez Miles listed at 182, Ethan Stewart at 196, Aaron Smith at 185, Cody Collier at 195,Wes Ward at 190, so I'm not going to say they are "small" but sometimes your skill players attract so much attention the others fly below the radar
CJ Phillips 235--Russel Hull-230----John Pennington---so big they had to weigh him at the farm store.
Is he the attorney's son?
