UT @ ARK
Darren McFadden, WOW, this kid is running all over us tonight.
A few things I have noticed so far.
1. GOOD - We are actually running the ball pretty well tonight. BAD - Arkansas is running it better.
2. Jonathan Crompton is looking like a freshman, he has only thown one good ball all night. You have to give credit to the Arkansas DB's they are taking Swain and Meachem out of their game.
3. The defense of Tennessee is.....still in Knoxville, they must not have shown up for the bus.
Oh well, everything is going pretty much the way I figured. I knew Arkansas would run rampid on our defense and they have.
I hope they change a few things for the second half or it could get embarr A S S ing.

Re: UT @ ARK
Oh yeah, has anyone noticed the pre-kick ritual for the Arkansas punter.... That is classic.....
-
Re: UT @ ARK
I missed it man, what is he doing?
-
Re: UT @ ARK
He does some kind of a yoga stretch, while pointing to where he wants to punt the ball and the the student section does it too.... It looks pretty stupid but, he's a kicker
-
Re: UT @ ARK
well when your team is up 31-7 you can do anything you want before a punt.
-
Re: UT @ ARK
Crompton really played like a frosh last night. I doubt that a healthy Ainge would have been sacked 3 times in the first quarter.
Absolutely no fire from any of UT's players last night. One of the more blah performances I've EVER seen from a UT team. It was like I was watching the Peach Bowl all over again.

Re: UT @ ARK
Wade looked like he was freakin' lost. I don't know what he was doing. The WR's didn't help JC much, but he was kind of rushing and lost at times too. It looks like Bolden is starting to come along though.
-
Re: UT @ ARK
A healthy Ainge wouldn't have helped you any better. Arkansas is just the better team.
-
Re: UT @ ARK
Yeah Bolden has played pretty well, it seems like no matter how many injuries we have alot of the young guys step up.... Is it just me or does Tennessee every year battle multiple injury problems... I don't recall many teams that have battle through so many injuries like UT(and no I am not using that as an excuse )... And it always seems like it is on Defense.

Re: UT @ ARK
It's a reoccuring theme. They had over 20 off season surgeries before last season. More times than not it is on defense for some reason.
-
Re: UT @ ARK
FSU has had the same problem this season especially on D. They are playing at least 17 Freshmen every game, Most of 'em are starters.
-
Re: UT @ ARK
Yeah. I heard some stat a week or so about all of the freshmen playing. It was an amazing number. That can't do anything but make you better for the future.
fwiw...rumor is that Amhad Paige is seriously considering UT. He's said to be pretty close with Trooper Taylor.
-
Re: UT @ ARK
Yeah he's only a soft verbal commit to FSU right now, I wouldn't be surprised to see him swap before signing day.
At this point I can't see why anyone would wanna sign with FSU.
-
Re: UT @ ARK
Programs like FSU and Miami should be able to bring recruits in on their name alone.

Tradition, growing up being a fan. There are still several reasons. I'd say there'll be a drop off from what recent classes have been, but if the staff changes that need to be made are made, they can be right back to where they were in the 90's. If they don't make those changes you're looking at 7-6, 8-4, or worse every year the way UT was from 2000-2005.

Re: UT @ ARK
This years class won't be near as good as the last few years, because they only have about 14 scholarships available.
