Something that needs to be said. My better half is covering this game for the Coalfield. She just sent me a msg saying the crowd is pitiful, that Ervinton actually brought more of a crowd than Appy. My buddy LPDFTBL needs to kick some arse down there and get the crowd going. Geez-it's a playoff game. I'd bet alot from Appy went to Sandlick just to see a closer game. Sad times we're living in folks. Where is the love?

I'm coming in for Thanksgiving. I plan to go to the Region D championship.

PV's game against Honaker is probably decided by now. Never know, strange things have happened.

I'd like to see the Vikings and the Wave rematch just like they used to back in the day.

At the start of the season, I told everyone that Ervinton would win the CD and punch a playoff ticket. I was floored to see them picked so low, and had fun ridiculing Dope Bucket over it. I told Coach Crabtree at the jamboree that there was no reason for all of this not to happen. I have been good friends with Chris for a long, long time. You simply will not find a better person no matter where you look. How sweet it is for Kiser as well-a great young person who ends his fine career playing in the playoffs, a feat many thought would not happen at Ervinton. Hats off to the Rebs, and congrats to the Dawgs.

Just to comment on your attendance remark...PV's crowd was small and very quiet. As Sam Cassell, in fegards to UNC's crowd, they're just "a wine and cheese crowd". Same for PV. I've been to funerals that were louder that the PV game.

I dont think crowds make much difference in HS football game

Not saying they make a difference...but a community should support their team, and if they don't, then what's the reason why they don't?

From experience playing a couple 6 yrs ago.....when playing in a game, you completely block out the crowd, or atleast I did....to me they was never there until after the game, then we celebrated!!

Most thought they were going to win, thats no secret, which Im sure the only game that was a toss up was Haysi/CWOOD. Not to mention its hunting season and one of the greatest hyped college football games came on an hour after the kick-off time. Most (I assume and heard) knew this one would be mailed in. Look for large crowds at UVAWISE

Hope you're right. But crowd attendance and attitude has become sorely lacking throughout the LPD.

much of that comes with winning and implications of a game, most people dont want to pay 5 bucks and watch someone lose by 40.
