It will come to all areas but my question is when it does happen what name and colors would you like to see in your area?
I have two. In Scott County I like the names:
Scott County Hunters with Camo Colors.
Scott County Irish with Green and Gold colors.
So lets hear em!

Estilville Abominable Snowmen
Hiltons Rednecks...we quit all regular sports and only compete in fishing and drinking, oh and everyone would think NASCAR is a sport too, but it'd kinda be like the debate team or cheerleading
would the d-gannon team have a fan base called "the klan"?...lol...cant even imagine what the bonfires at pep rallies would be like..lol.. guess you couldn't talk em out of bein the dragons..lol...
it would save a lot of money since there would be no need for athletic shoes...but the chewin tobacco budget would need to be high
When it happens in Wise County, I'd like to see a tribute to our coal miners. The name Miners would be nice. Colors would be black and white, a mascot with a pick, lump of coal on the helments, coal truck..the works. These folks have been the backbone of our communities. I know it wouldn't happen, but it would be a nice recognition.
I agree Indian_Dad, have a helmet like UTEP or something along those lines.
Rye Viewfield Hornyheads. Plenty of hornyheads in the local streams, and Rye Cove is actually made up of people from Rye Cove, Fairview, and Duffield.
As for a true Scott County name, I guess:
Scott Scotsmen. Maroon and gray colors. Since a lot of people are of Scotch-Irish heritage in the area.
Sorry Jason, I just can't go with the Irish because of Notre Dame.

or a combo of PV and Appy...the Appy Valley Bulldykes
in the early 90's wise co had already had schemes for the 2 schools they were wanting to build...wise co west was to be the pioneers with maroon and black unis...gag...i don't know about the other tho

I do my best to put the hornyhead population in decline every time I go. Every one I catch I throw as far up on the bank as I can so it can't breed and perpetuate the problem.
I understand that. They are decent eating if you can get one big enough. Generally their all pretty small. I do the same thing with chubs.

Just the opposite, we stand on the bank and throw him as far out in the water as we can. But then we have to worry about trouble with the EPA and contamination, could lead to another huge fish kill like the one back in the 60's or 70's (can't remember when it happened).
