unbearable to read this site anymore really. The arrogance of people on here is laughable at times. The ignorance is just plain sad. There are few posters who can actually contribute something positive, but those are few and far between.
Thats just my opinion.

I don't know if i'm one of the ones you are complaining about, but i agree. It was so much easier for me to ignore it, but now that I have to sign it I find myself posting a lot more.
In my opinion a lot of the adults act like high school freshmen. There are cliques and name calling and just some downright nonsense.
But it also keeps me entertained!
I made the purposeful move to not ask to be allowed to post on the religion or politics forum. It keeps me sane!

Yep. I'm easily goaded into name calling and bad behavior when someone openly admits to being a racist and "proud of it" and praising the [censored]. I've never had a problem with Ms. Hokie. Always worth reading what's posted by her. I hope my tirade on Aphrodumbass hasn't soured her on me.
There are a good handful of the adult, regular, long timers that I just don't agree with and maybe don't even like. They do however at times show some shred of intelligence and I can respect what they have to say.
I think calling her out using her own words simmered her down some (for a little while).
If only I had remembered to copy her quote about being unable to get back in school because her academic performance was so poor.
I dont even know why she's all over it - she's lived in FL VA and TN - not like she's a lifer for Pound.

At one job I'm assigned to write (or re-write) reports because they like my, for lack of better term, frankness. Beating around the bush just doesn't cut it.

I'd say anything in person that I would to anyone on here. Unfortunately that attitude has gotten me in trouble at times at work. My former boss told me all kinds of stuff that our sales rep had to "say" about me one time. I called the sales rep about 10 x's and his phone kept going to voice mail. Finally, I just unloaded on him on his voice mail with a stream of expletives, names, and hate that would make Notsosilentbob blush. 5 minutes later my boss says, "I misspoke. He didn't say that, that's just the impression I got from him." Then I have to keep calling again, finally getting through his voice mail to him and apologize. I have a bad temper. Especially toward people that are ignorant. The folks who had the opinion in that "Va Apologizes for slavery" thread of, there's nothing to apologive for, I don't have a problem with. It's the one moron who openly admits to being a hatefilled biggot. Sorry to get off track, but I just like to explain my actions to people who are more tactful than me and who have religious convictions that I might not adhere to. i seem like an [censored], but when it comes to sports, i know my sports, mega, vt, burton, ccane and pvfan can all vouch for me.
dont ban me because i sometimes run my mouth, because i am, IMO, one of the most informative sports posters left.
The problem is, in my honest opinion, is that when someone posts a stupid reply out of ignorance or whatever, we have "TOO" many posters ready to 'pounce' on them. I read 99% of the things posted,, and it doesn't help the board to 'be-little' them. I get as excited or more so than most of you, but my smart [censored] replies doesn't help anything. Everyone has a right to their opinion,,, right or wrong in your own eyes,, just think about what you want to say b/f replying.... it will make this forum a lot better for everyone....

Not that I agree or disagree...but I've kinda noticed that it's sort of a "forum norm". There's a music board that I frequent and when someone posts spam like, "Hey guys! If you like so-and-so, you'll really love this band. Check out their myspace...." and then everyone ALWAYS replies with smart remarks and jumps all over the post. I think it's just the way of the internet world. haha.
