Watching this game, i realized how absolutely bad Duke is. I mean, horrid by their standards and pretty average otherwise. "slow and unathletic" said Vthokie, and he cuoldnt have been more right. I mean, i look at their 4 main people that come to mind...Paulus, D Nelson, McRoberts and Schieyer.
Paulus, save for making a few 3's, is just a slow, goober-looking white boy. No footspeed, just got embarrassed by UNC's PG a few times. Can't create off the dribble to get to the hoop, and cant make a pull up J with a hand in the face...oh wait, that sounds familiar....its the description of Nelson and Schyer!!!
Nelson is prolly the most athletic of the bunch, solid defender, but can only make wide open 3's and rarely creates/can drive to the bucket.
Schyer, well, I wounldn't even give him the credit of being a "poor man's Redick." Compare him to redick, FRESHMAN redick. He can't shoot as good as him, cant run and work to get open and square and shoot as good as him, is physically weaker and is a worse defender.
Of all these guys, what does it say when McRoberts is almost the best off the dribble? Seriously. O, yeah, but hes a turnover/walk MACHINE. i think he had 6 in teh first half. All of this is to say, Duke better get some big time recruits, or some guys that are young better grow up quick or ppl that arent playing better get better over the offseason
And yet, I still cannot believe how many people think duke deserves a high seed. Nance said he thought they could be as high as a 4, and the halftime knucklehead had them at 3, above the UVA team that beat them, as well as a higher seed than VT and BC!!!!! *McInroe* YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!!! what are they, 6th, 7th, 8th in THERE OWN CONFERENCE??? 8-8....thats .500!! and your thinking they are a 3 or 4 seed, meaning there top 9-12 in teh country! WHAT? Aside from the "high RPI, oh, they had the hardest in conference schedule" crap, how does anyone justify that??
Duke doesn't even deserve to be in the NCAA tourney if they don't win the ACC tourney IMO. I cannot think of a quality win outside of their conference record, and I really can't think of one inside the conference. The BC game was a more of a farce, with BC, who I don't think is very good either playing below awful.

Air Force, Georgetown, Indiana, Gonzaga.
Pretty quality wins IMO.
Shaw, Columbia, and NC Central were big wins too!
The Zags will be lucky to make the tournament.
Air Force would be impressive if it was on the road. Gonzaga is not very good this year, even when they had Mushroom Head.
Georgetown is up and down, but not a huge threat, and I don't think Indiana or anyone in the Big Ten is great. Wisconsin the best team there IMO.
Their decent wins, I will give you that, but not outstanding.

I think they are okay, but I will be surprised if they make it past the Sweet 16, maybe even to the Sweet 16.
Could be but when you play a 16 and then an 8/9 thats duked it out against each other and only have a day to prepare for that #1 team, it usually means the #1 is going to be going to the sweet 16. How many times do you see the 8/9 team beating the #1. Ohio State is probably the #1 #1 right now meaning it will be even easier for them. The sweet 16 should be pretty easy for them.
It should be, but it will depend upon the matchups. Next Sunday will mean a lot, but if you see someone from the Pac-10 as an 8 or 9 in their bracket, or anyone who has a halfway decent post presence, OSU is screwed.
