I called it last year, told everyone on here they would have a bad year this year and that it would get worse. All kinds of talk coming out of Durham that McRoberts is leaving for the NBA and that Lance Thomas is transferring, leaving Duke with no big man. Have fun praying the trey is dropping next year, if not look for another down year.

And Lance Thomas wasn't to be the goto big man, that is slotted for Brian Zoubek, but he is gonna have to work his tail off during the offseason and improve quite a bit.
Kyle Singler or Taylor King coming in would also offset Thomas leaving.
Zoubek is terrible, there going to be a three point shooting team from here on out.
I can't see McRoberts being ready for the NBA
I'm a Duke fan and when I heard he was leaving for the NBA, I laughed my butt off. He wasnt even ready for ACC basketball, certainly not ready for the NBA.

He'll do better in the NBA than he did at Duke, imo.
McRoberts wont be that big of a loss....he played well in the ACC and NCAA tournament, but other than that, he had a pretty bad year....didnt average near his potential in points. He was a dissapointment this year and unless he was going to improve alot, he wouldnt have made a big difference next year.I said he would leave for the NBA at the begining of the season when he was playing awful. He is kinda doing the same as Shavlik Randolph, come in expected to play well and be a dissapointment, so leave for the NBA.
I hope Duke fans aren't serious about the thought of Zoubek being an ACC caliber big man.
Zoubek is the worst big man in the NCAA. I cant beleive he got a scholarship.
He will never be a starter. He may become the guy to put in when you need a rebound or some minutes in the paint, but other than that, he is useless.

Lance Thomas, if he doesnt transfer,McClure is an option, but hopefully one of the new recruits will step in and fill the open spots.
Duke will be better next year, but still not up to the usual standards.
Duke will be good on the perimter no doubt, I dont see how they could beat a team with a force on the inside though.
I agree. The inside will be weak for the next couple of years. They will still find a way to win without an inside force.
They had an All American inside with Williams along with the great Redick and they couldn't win it then.
That was an exception. They just blew it then.
I didn't mean that Zoubeck would actually be able to step in in place of McRoberts, (hense saying he would have to work his arse off all offseason to expect to do anything) but he could work and get some quality minutes.
