that USC is dominating the Heels in all facets of the game? I was more worried playing USC than I was of a potential match up with the Hoyas.
This is the very reason I picked Georgetown to come out of that region. I love my Heels to death, but I honestly thought they would run into a buzzsaw.
I'm hoping for a second half run.
USC pissed it away, I think the Gibson guy got hosed, three fouls within 5 minutes doesn't happen alot, and I didn't see an illegal screen at the end.
As PVFan would say " when you're Duke and UNC, you're going to get those calls " [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]. The Heels won because Gibson got in foul trouble, and hurt them with their depth. People can say the officiating was bad and so on. Its not like this was the worst ref'd game in the tourney.
UNC deserved the win.
Georgetown will be a big test for them on Sunday. Gibson was shutting down both Wright and Hansbrough. Im actually starting to wonder if the Pac-10 is the best conference this year. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] They need to bang down low and get Hibbert and Ewing Jr. in foul trouble early, and take advantage with their depth and speed.

Oh my gosh, you must be an official in the LPD...LOL, kidding...The guy clearly stepped with the Tarheel player as he tried to move around the screen...the replay was obvious too. Oh well, my opinion...Depends what color your blood runs, and mine is Carolina blue....How much of a difference would he have made, though, down 6 and missing everything they shot in the second half...Carolina is tough. USC gave it their all, but the deep bench was the clincher in my opinion.
That idiot of a coach for USC sure didn't do his team any favors by getting T'd up there at the end. Hopefully Wright and Hansbrough will run Hibbert up and down the floor till he falls over [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
The deep bench will do the Hoyas in, but it will be an interesting game...a lot of history as well, 25th anniversary of Jordan sticking the dagger in the Hoyas' heart for the title in 1982.

I agree with both of those. Floyd really hurt his team. They were still in it, but ended up being down by double digits. What an idiot. I really liked the way Ginyard stepped in and came up huge. They showed alot of guts by coming back with Terry not starting due to sickness, and Hansbrough having a terrible game.
Also Hansbrough better show up on Sunday.
Got that right, Hansborough will be key on Sunday...
Hopefully Reyshawn will be ready to go sunday. IMO he's very underrated.
I agree. UNC plays very well when he bring his A-game. Not that he's a major standout, but he's a very significant role player, imo.

And I agree about USC's coach...completely lost his composure. I would be feeling pretty crappy if I were him. Not that he lost the game, it's just he should know better.
It's just my opinion but I will never understand what the NCAA committee is thinking. Georgetown will be the first significant tem that the Tarheels will face. You give a team a number one seed, and you let them play the first two games 20 miles from home. I don't say they're not a good team, but when you do things like this, and it always seems the calls(like the illegal screen) go against their opponents, I wonder. Let's face it. when Gibson fouled out, that was it for USC. And yes I even like Carolina.
That's the benefit of being a #1 seed.
