i would put marshall faulk in the top 10 of all time. i mention this because he just retired earlier this week.

I can't help but wonder if any of the guys who picked Barry Sanders ever saw Jim Brown play. I know centennialdawg and I both did, hence our vote for him. Barry was very good, so was O.J., Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, Emmitt Smith, and Eddie George. If you want to go by career yardage, OR Super Bowl wins, you'd have to go with Smith. But all things considered, Jim Brown was the best I ever saw carry the pigskin.
ut1 you know I respetct you opinions, but I think Jim Brown was the best for his era. I just don't think that if you put him in todays game, he would be better than Jerome Bettis. Bettis was a solid back for many years, but no one considers him GOAT. I have saw some old highlights of Brown, but he was what 6'2" 240 playing against linemen of the same size. He probably ran a 4.7 or so and they ran 5.0 40's. Put that in todays game, and he might be productive, but not GOAT.
I don't know if Jim Brown wouldn't be successful today, you look at his build even today and he's still a beast.

When it's all said and done LT is going to be one of the best or THE best running back of all time!
I am not saying he would be chopped liver had he played in the last 20 years or so, but he wouldn't be near the all time rusher although he would have played in more games.
If LT continues the way he has started his career, then yes. He is an extraordinary athlete. I have yet to see his equal. He runs inside, outside, catches the ball and even throws the ball. The only thing I worry about with him is the overuse.
Another that I would have seen do football 100% without injuries is Bo Jackson. I'll never forget when he ran over The Boz. That was amazing.
In regards to Brown, I think the whole game is different, not just the players. The plays that worked 40 years ago prolly wouldn't work so well today. The off-season work program of the NFL 40 years ago was going to get a real job. Now it's a full-time thing. Guys are in the best shape of their lives. You put Jim Brown in today's game with his workout from 40 years ago and I'd say he would be decent. You put Jim Brown in today's game with today's workout, and I'd say he would dominate just as well.
either barry sanders or walter payton, we would have really been able to see what barry could have done if he would have had a great line....or even a good line.
