not really, seems like burton has only beaten coeburn one time since shupe has been at burton.

Burton didn't have a very good defensive showing scoreboard read 6 E's, prolly more like 8 if ya count throwing errors that allowed baserunners to advance. Coeburn didn't commit any errors.
Both teams hit the ball well, but both left a lot of guys on base. In the 5th and 6th Burton had runners on 2nd and 3rd, with 1 out, and had a man on third in the 7th with 1 out, but they didn't score in any of those innings.

Great game. Good pitching, good defense for Clintwood. PV just had the luck to win.

Hey guys not much to say,you know.When you commit 9 errors youre not going to beat many people,especially when coeburn didnt have any.Coeburn played a fundmentaly sound ballgame.I watched them play wise thursday and it was a completely different team friday.I believe coach summed it up it's going to be interesting in the L.P.D. .I agree the P.V. and C.W. game should prove that.Back to the Norton game,of the 6 runs coeburn scored 1 was earned,we had two dropped balls in right field.two fielding errors at s.s.,one at 2nd,and one at 1st,and numerous throwing errors that let runners advance.Mama said they would be days like this,just hope not too many.Raiders left 8 men on base.The Raiders have 8 district games in a row starting tuesday with Clintwood,and P.V. friday.Large did what he had to do to win the ballgame for coeburn,the defense was behind him the whole game.Coeburn played better ball than we did,bottom line..SEE YA TUESDAY.GOD BLESS. this is the weakest the LPD has been in a looong time.
I disagree,pariety dosent mean weaker.The L.P.D. will win the region,and repersent at state well.
I wouldn't say that, in the past few years the top team or teams may have been better than this years top teams. But the district is better 1-6 this year than it has been in awhile, probably since '03.
It's a five team race for 1st place,i believe the winner of the district will end up with three losses(in the district).I think those top five teams could beat one another on any given day.It's going to be an exciteing race for first,that is what makes the L.P.D. good this year.The L.P.D. tournament will be a dandy also,the L.P.D. will repersent well this year,i dont see anybody stoping one of our teams at region.Who do you all think will compete with us at the regionals???
Castlewood will be the stiffest test for our LPD rep(s) IMO
I don't know that Castlewood will be as tough now. I believe their best pitcher is out for the year, which really hurts thier chances.
Yeah Castlewood lost there ace Chris Smith,yhey prolly will win the district though.I dont thinh they will compete against us at regions.

so you are already penciling in the raiders as being in the regionals?
From his previous post above I don't think he was saying "us" as in the Raiders, I think he was just talking about "us" as in the LPD.
No way man,it's going to either be Kelly,Burton,or Coeburn,and dont count out G.C.All im saying is who ever it is from the LPD,they wiil take the regionals and repersent at state well. UR right utvols2 us meaning the lpd.
