Hello CHAMBERS fans,

Well, since I finally got caught up with everyone's literature orders (boy was I swamped), and since I am still sick (pneumonia is really slow to get rid of), and since, therefore, I can't do a whole lot of anything else, lest I end up caughing my head off, I thought I'd start updating the website.

Thusfar, I've redone the main Index page. Most of the links work, but the ones that don't will get fixed by tomorrow this time (I hope). Eventually, I plan to convert the entire site to the frames format for easier navigation.

Any suggestions and/or comments would be MOST welcome!

Hey Todd, Get well soon! I'm not a web site specialist, but I was told that search engines don't like Frames and don't always include sites that use them in the search results. Our Hootnholler.net was frames for the first couple of years. I updated it this year without Frames and it seems to be getting more visits now. Regards, Sam

Have you tested it with firefox browser yet? I'm seeing the left frame just fine but the right frame is so wide that I can't fit it all in my 20" iMac widescreen even if I maximize the window.

Hmmmmm....anyone else having problems?

The right side doesn't fit on my screen either.

Is it just too WIDE for your screen and you have to scroll over to read it, or is the text and stuff all jumbled up because it's being squished?

For me, in Microsoft Internet Explorer, It is wide for my screen, not jumbled, and I can scroll over to see all of it. I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing.

Seems like I read somewhere that there is a way to make the page automatically fit your screen...I'll have to ask that question when I get in touch with my website guru.

the page is too wide for my screen also, and the menu bar on the left is a little scrambled (spacing & alignment)

I still have to scroll on my 15 inch screen at the office, but not on my larger screen at home. I like it and don't mind the small bit of scrolling.

Todd, I like the new organization. There's not as much scrolling up and down like before. Though, like everyone is saying you do have to do a little left/right scrolling on some pages.

I took a course in FrontPage a few years ago, and it seems like there was a way to make one page fit all screens, but your web guy can help you with that.

Don't I remember a thread where several folks had volunteered to scan the various versions of Chambers Model As & Bs & Cs and post them? Seems like one person said they'd do it, then another, then the first one decided not to if the second one was.

Maybe the new website would be a good place for that.

Hmmm, I hesitate to compliment the improvements, knowing that they came courtesey of your illness. Don't want to encourage the same process.

That said, I think the cleaning and literature pages will be very helpful to newcomers especially, and to us oldsters as well. Great work. Sleep, drink lots of water, take care of yourself.

You just gotta get a web expert in to fix that right hand frame. It's so wide I can't fit it on a 20" screen without scrolling.

Yeah, I know - he's supposed to come over sometime next week.
