I'm becoming addicted to this stuff. Especially the chicken. Anyone else buy this stuff?

I can't believe you're just getting turned on to this stuff. I won't eat it simply because that's all I would eat and I'd drop dead of a heart attack. Love it...on or with anything. Just a side note, I was actually contemplating doing a Spam marinade and then grilling it. Anybody got some good ideas?

Nope. I've ate the stuff since I was a kid. That's what was for lunch so it was on my brain.

Tried it for the first time (the deviled ham) about two weeks ago.

There is but one beer worth of human consumption. Newcastle Brown Ale.

All others (save for Guiness) are pretenders and worthy of little more than washing one's feet.

Guiness is my favorite brew...but It's alot like Jagermeister...can't always afford it...I'll drink anything besides Nasty Light, Milwaukee's Best or malt liquor tho.

if not southpaw, i'm drinking jim beam, turkey, grain, or moonshine
i'll drink budweiser, natty light at times, but nothing compares to southpaw!

New Castle Brown Ale is the ultimate compliment to a good steak.

There are few taste combinations that can compete with that.

OT: I fortuitously discovered the ultimate triad to spicing up a good burger.
Montreal Steak Spice + Mrs. Dash's Garlic + Old Bay (the stuff you put on crabs and lobsters when you steam them)

I LOVE Blue Moon, have you ever tried St. Pauli's Girl? it's pretty good

I have seen it but never tried it, I will give it a taste.

If anybody ever gets down to Nags Head, go to the Weeping Radish. They brew their own, the honest to goodness German way, and their pilsners and wheat beer is out of this world. My favorites list:

1. Cerveza Cantina- relatively cheap and is a lot like Corona
2. Amstel Light
3. Miller Lite- Can't beat it
4. Red Stripe- Pretty good if you've got a few extra dollars.
5. Rolling Rock- Love the painted bottles.
6. New Castle- Expensive but good. Had some last week monitoring the Religion Forum [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]
7. Foster's Lager- Only lager I like

The Weeping Radish wheat beer is quite good. The restaurant there is also quite good.

My parents took me to the Sophisticated Otter in JC a few years back. Don't know if they are still in business, but I thought they brewed some of their own. Whatever I had was pretty good. Some kind of berry brew, if my memory serves me correctly.

Ah yes, The Weeping Radish. Very good restaurant, if you like German style cuisine. I highly recommend their Schnitzel dinner. I hope to go back to the OBX soon to partake the those 'good eats'. I think you can even sign-up on a type of 'Beer of the Month' club with them.

I haven't been in three years. Hope to take the camper down there in September for a few days of R&R.

Unfortunately the Otter is closed (unless they reopened and I just haven't heard). I loved that place.

There is a restraunt there...but i don't think it is the same management.

It's now Picasso's a four star place. You need reservations on a Friday/Saturday. It's not the same people, the head chef used to work at ETSU and the Carnegie. I've heard its good, but pricier than the Peerless.

So it's nothing like the Otter, basically?

Sounds nice though. I would like to try it. This may be a place for dinner for my bf's upcoming bachelorette festivities at the end of summer.
