The forum of outcasts and misfits...

the old SWVA forum that was recently opened is a trip. I made one post (nothing bad) and got banned. If I were a betting man, I'd about bet that one of our now infamous "banned" posters is running that thing. No problem though, less than 60 seconds later I got a new account. It's kind of funny when you look at the user list over there. There are 4 posters with double digit posts, several with zero (I'm assuming they registered just to look), PacHokieEater, the resident racist, LPDFTBL. A nice colorful group for sure.

I suspect LPDFTBL is running it. Think he was the first person registered.
We should all register a dozen or so names to it and bomb them.

I sent "Sportsnut" a pm calling him Bobby. I'm sure he'll like that. He ("Sportsnut") made a new post about people registering under different nicknames to start troble, threatening to contact ISP's. It may be worth a day of fighting viruses just to make his ife heck. I'll use the old computer, and when I'm capable of being a smart alek again I'll do something about it.

He edited the post that the racist old whore mentioned me and elpn in. He says he's not Bobby. Of course he deleted the first user name I had (Slagathor) then when I re-registered under this name he somehow knew who it was. ???

I just visited that site and my antivirus software went apeshit popping all kinds of things up so I got the hell away from there.

I don't expect that forum to do much but if people prefer it, more power to them.

The [censored] I dealt with today wasn't bad stuff, just annoying little trojans.

I know we ain't perfect on here, but if someone prefers Bobby and others, then good riddance in my opinion.

I dont consider it a competition, if some hate it here so bad, then maybe they would prefer an alternate environment. To each their own.

I'm not saying that in terms of competition, I'm saying it because that place is full of malware. I deleted every reference to it on my site and will continue to do so.

He also made a post talking about people "spreading rumors" that the site was full of spyware and viruses. He said that it was a lie and that they had a couple of popups that would be taken care of after the "update".

This coming from a man that just learned to cut and paste within the last month.

There are various reasons. Some feel they've been railroaded. Others enjoy the banter but cannot control themselves.

When I first got online back in 99, I only visited one forum. Spent a ton of time there 99-02. Made a lot of friends. The owners decided they didn't like me and a couple of other people. So they just went ahead and banned us. Not long after that they went to a pay-to-play format.

One of the other people they banned had spent a lot of time and money helping them set up new forum software as they were too cheap to pay someone to do it for them. Now, some 5 years later, they're running forum software that is horribly outdated. All because they're too cheap to upgrade, never mind that every user (around 4000) pays at least $25 a year for forum access.

There are all kinds out there. As for myself, there are a lot of users on my forums that I hate, yet I don't shitcan them. The ones that are shitcanned did more than enough to earn it.

Once a person has been banned a few times, they do get a little pissed off and want to do nothing but cause more trouble.

Then again, Bobby could just be [censored] in the head...

Chubz feels like he is never going to escape his earlier image on here, and in someways, he is right. That being said, I think he's been a good poster for the last while. Chubz is also mostly a football fan, and right now, is a dead time. I figure he'll partake of both, if that one is still alive and functionable come football season.

He has certainly calmed down. I don't detest him nearly as much as I did.

It's the same way with radio hosts like Stern, Opie and Anthony, ect. People keep paying attention because even though they hate it, they can't turn away. As much as Chubz, LPDFTBL, ect say that they hate this place, they can't leave. If Rock told LPDFTBL right now that he could rejoin under the same name, no questions asked, he'd be reregistered in 30 seconds. The problem with ^^^ these people is that they don't have any kind of internal filter. They think everyone is supposed to agree with them. If they do something wrong and have to have someone like Rock come down on them, it's unfair and they're in the right. You can't make everyone happy, not everyone on here is going to get along. Those mentioned above can't figure that out.

I don't either. Chubz hasn't been annoying or a problem in a long time.

No problem with being on several boards I have around 10 that I read reguraly (spend most of my time here of course) in fact sometimes you can get a differant perspective on a different fourm the only problem with sportsnuts fourm is so far at least it is 100% current or former LPD fourm members so it is not realy anythink new.

I like SWVASports and Cumberlandsports (during football and basketball season) but honistly this fourm does dang well this time of season compared to other local/simi-local boards
