Several of the MD's at the hospital reccomend this to a lot of our patients....two of my coworkers are using it and have done really well so far, one of them will finish tomorrow, she seems to think that it has worked for her.
I didn't know much about the current options. My insurance company started paying for cessation products, so I decided to ask my doctor about my options last week. Gave me a scrip for this stuff, I finally bit the bullet Monday and filled it.
The bottom line is that until you want to quit, you won't quit. You can't give it a half-hearted effort. When I quit in 02, I just decided to stop. Bought a box of patches, used them for 4 days and quit.
This time, however, isn't going to be so easy. I've had the notion to quit for a while, just a matter of following through on it. I've been smoking more and more over the last couple of months, so now is the time to do it. Never mind that I'm tired of waking up and looking for the cat that shat in my mouth.

He is mostly white and weighs over 20 lbs. should be easy to find in your house, not that many places to hide. May also try calling Max heard he went by this at times.

Like I told ya the other day my F-I-L is on them and hasn't smoked in about a month now, although I noticed over the weekend he did have 2-3 but I believe he did it just to be doing it and wasn't really craving one.
My friend Ramon is headed for week 4 smoke-free using Chantix. The stuff seems to be good. Good luck kicking the nasty habit man.
one teaspoon of cream of tartar in 8 oz. of orange juice around 8 every night..supposedly this will help you quit
Hey Lynn!!!
Does this mean I can Bum all the cigs you got now????
Not many left.
To bad you won't be fishin with him this weekend you could finish him off.
He just wants to quit to have more money to spend on tackle and lures. Makes me wish I had a bad habit like that to give up to have more money to spend on fishin, oh wait a minute fishing is my bad habit.
Day 21, cravings are still there, but not as persistant. Got a bad jones yesterday after not having one since Sunday AM. Been burning through gum (two big packs in one night on the lake).
Side effects haven't been that bad. Vivid realistic dreams (best dreams I've ever had) are about it.
This stuff really works.
Two weeks + without a smoke. No longer getting bad cravings. Just an occasional jones in certain situations.
One word of advice, don't take this stuff on an empty stomach. It will make you as sick as a dog.
