Ainge has a hurt finger on his throwing hand. Coker won't play, he's suspended. Brad Cottam is out with a broke bone in his band. Colquitt has a quad injury and won't kickoff or kick field goals, only punt. Elix Wilson has a knee sprain. David Holbert is out with a torn ACL. Ryan Karl has a stress fracture in his back, he'll play. UT still wins.
I saw Coker returned to the kick return practice. Will he not even play on that?
Nope. He's not even going to Berkley. He's just been running as the practice squad back.
If UT wins, I'll have alot of respect for them. Thats a tough tough place to play and when most teams make a trip to pac-10 country, they usually dont win. Ive heard Longshore has improved too. It should be a good game.
Based on the great ESPN, UT shouldn't even show up Saturday because they don't stand a chance. Of course, this is the same jargon that they said last year and hopefully the game will have the same outcome.
That's one reason I expect UT to win. If Phil is the favorite, he gags. When nothing is expected of him, that's when his teams play their best.
I hope Cal beats the livin crap out of UT. I hate the Vols. After all bein a huge Gator fan, I have to dispise the Vols.
Over all I think it will be a good game, but I hope Cal comes out and embarrasses them.

I hate the Gators But I always root for sec teams when playing outta confernce. If cal beats the crap outta UT and then Ut beats Fla how does that make Florida look? Or if UT beats Cal and Fla beats UT it can only help Fla in the overall Picture.

I pull for SEC teams, all of them, but UT. I just hate UT with a passion. I don't care how it makes Florida look. I have 2 favorite teams, Florida and anyone playin UT. You can not like Florida and pull for UT and you cant like UT and pull for Florida, it just does not work or make sense.
All I can say is Teebow, as a freshman and 2nd string qb ran all over UT last year and was the main reason they beat the Vols last year. Another year under his belt, more confidence, experience, a national championship. As a Soph, Teebow is one of the better qb's in the nation. Ainge has been startin for 2 yrs and UT and is mediocre at best.

I've pulled for Florida and i'm a diehard Vol fan. To each their own. Teebow ran all over everybody, and people knew what was coming. We'll see what he does when he's taking every snap.
No, let's see what Superman does when it's third and 11 and everyone in the country knows he has to throw the ball.
I too have heard good things about the Cal QB, Longshore...It should be a good game
I do not think UT stands a chance playing at Cal. UT still has some improvement work left to get back to elite status. Can't wait until Sat. for college football again.

No running game? I don't know about that man I believe Foster and have a big year!!! Which the passing game is going to be better then what most think.
If UT's line is halfway decent then I don't think UT will have too much problem running the ball on Cal. If Coker was playing I would think you might have a couple of long TD runs against the Golden Bears D.
What killed Cal last year was the inability to wrap up and tackle. Meachem took two 5 yard hitch patterns and turn them into long TD's. I agree with Stripes, if the line can have a good game then UT will have no problems whatsoever putting up points on Cal's Defense.
Heck, those wasn't wrap up problems, those were contact problems. Cal swung and missed too many times.

in a game like this my money is on a jeff tedford team everytime......fatmer isnt half the coach tedford is.....jeff is an offensive genius and will outcoach the great pumpkin

But the QB had nothing to do with the deffense not being able to stop Tennessee.
Its so early in the season, its really hard to say which team will win. Its likely a game thats going to depend on turnovers and time of possession. You also have to wonder how many plays Desean Jackson may make. There was a national championship winning USC team that went into Berkley that left with a loss and that wasnt the first time it happend either. Its so hard for teams to travel cross country and play well. Remember the 00 Canes that left Seattle with a loss? Even a pretty average Arizona State gave LSU a world of trouble in the desert a few years ago. Going into Berkely is no easy task, I dont care if its UT playing or a team like USC, LSU, or Florida that is supposed to win it all. Aside from a beatdown at home against the 05 Trojans, Tedford has never lost a homegame by more than 2 touchdowns(when they were pretty dreadful) and I think hes lost 3 home games in his career by more than 10 points. UT will have to play lights out for this not to be a contest. It should be a great game.
I would love to see the running game step up, it's been in a slump for the last couple of years. Tennessee has some good young WR can't wait to see how they play this saturday! This should be a great game all in all. Cal has a good QB in Longshore should be a good test for there D this early in the season
Read an article today that said young WR's have not performed well enough to take veterans positions yet. The JC transfer is suppose to be unreal. I guess we will wait and see.
I look for it to be a very close game. But still believe the Vols can come away with the win.

On a good note, Foster is looking like a beast so far. I was kinda leary when he was returning kicks but he has sent about 3-4 people to the ground with a massive stiff arm. Oh yeah, don't punt to #1 again.
