Golf Tournaments normally work really well if you can get one worked out.
Krispy Kreme doughnut, just print out the form...easy money.

the golf tournament would be the best way to go, esp if u could get it advertised well enough. 50 bucks a team, talk to a local golf course like raven rock to host it for a short fee...from what i hear they are pretty good bout that sort of stuff.

Burton does a golf tournament every year and I can't think of the fee's right off the top of my head but it is something like $50 per person, so $200 per team and then for teams that want to sponser holes they can do so for an additional $100 or so. Normally there are close to 18 teams in it each year and it brings in a pretty good amount of money, don't know the bottom dollar but if run right it can bring in a lot of profit. I think Jimbo has run one every year since he has been coaching so it is coming close to 10 years now.
Golf tournaments must be a good fundraiser as just about every team and their brother are having them these days.
Also, Jack is pretty good about helping out schools at Crocketts Ridge as well. I have played in a couple over there. Played the JIB football one many times, and TS has had them at Cattails.
Agree with UTVOLS. Golf tournaments are great if ran correctly. I know Crockett's Ridge does a tremendous job with helping host these type of outings.
I have one if you will email me at [email protected]. I have to get the guys #. I will email you the website and info. It is cookie dough and pizza and prezzles. If you have 30-50 kids you can do really well and you get nice stuff with it. You can get Under Armour Stuff as prizes for you kids and you don't have to sell that much. We make around $ 5000 everytime we do it. It only takes about 2 weeks to do and you collect all the money up front and they invoice you the cost on the stuff. The money is ready to spend.
Wise Youth Football just finished selling Little Caesars Pizza Kits, cookie dough, and pie kits. We made $3350! Go to http://www.pizzakit.com and you can look over their stuff. There is not money up front and you pay when the stuff arrives. You have your profit before you pay and you don't have to wait for a check. They also have early bird incentives. thank you all so much for your ideas they are all great !! the fundraiser is for a team of about 18 kids, but all of the ideas will be helpful in the future as well.

another thing that you could do to also get the kids involved is a car wash
especially since its still hot......its a great way to go and kids usually have alot of fun with it
especially now that kids are back at school candy is another great way to go.......its virtually a lay up

We did a car wash this weekend for our older youth football boys. Instead of setting a price we did it by donation. No one gave less than 5$, several gave 20$, and a bunch of people did drive-by donations and we didn't have to wash their cars. Also, the business where we held the car wash made a donation. One of the auto parts stores donated the car wash soap, some sponges and tire cleaner. It's quick money without having to sell anything. If you have it at a busy convenience store/gas station, have a few kids mingle around the pumps asking people if they'd like a car wash and what it's for. Most will give you a buck or two and not bother with the car wash. One of our kids raked in about $80 that way.
and the kids probably had alot of fun with it

We did a road block at 1 intersection got 650.00 in 4hours,
Walmart and Food City (outside with a bucket) - about 1400.00 in 8 hours
I saw on TV the other day a team was having a topless carwash, they put tarps you pulled inside and there were guys washing cars.LOL!! The guy patrons were mad as hell but the women kept coming.
Yep car washes and doughnut sales are the way to go. As a matter of fact our travel baseball team is having a car wash this Sunday afternoon at the Autozone exit 7 in Bristol. So if your over this way come give us some money!

You set up through Krispe Kreme. The doughnuts cost $2.50 a dozen and you sell them for $5. $2.50 profit on every box. Get in the right spot in the morning, easy money! Just make sure you don't over order and get stuck with a bunch. You can also pre-sell and take orders and pick up the exact amount you want, and then deliver them.
As a person that's hit up for fundraiser events by nieces and nephews and such, I have to say the fundraiser I truly dislike the most is the roadblock/begging fundraiser.
I never carry cash on me, but I'm treated like I'm the devil in disguise because I walk or drive by without throwing in $5 or $6. It's also very awkward for the folks with very limited funds who are hit up for cash coming and going. I've seen unsupervised youngsters harrass and heckle folks that didn't drop $ in the bucket.
Carwashes, food sales, tangible things are preferable (folks who dont want to actually buy stuff can still just give $ if they so desire).
On a side note I saw some enterprising young teenagers at C'burg walmart one time send out the innocent looking younger brother to ask individuals in the parking lot "you got a dollar I can have?" - they probably made a killing. But I didn't give.

i had no idea.....the only issue with that is......it must be tough to make money is you arent in a very heavily trafficed area, no?
i would imagine that ball fields and the like are probably good spots.......but isnt that an otherwise tough sale
I think the pre-order sales make the best money (kind of the same way girl scout cookies work).
The Wal-Mart thing works great. Our youth teams (Wise) stood in front of Wal-Mart on 8-28-07. We were there from 12pm-8pm. We took in $430 from 12-2 that day. We took in almost $1200 in the whole 8 hours. Just call Wal-Mart and ask for Coleen. She does the sign ups. Good luck.
