Could Beckett have given the Red Stockings the spark they needed?
Kicking some major ass tonight.
If I'm Francona, I have to seriously thinking about going with Beckett again tomorrow night. He's lights out in the playoffs. If he could give you five good innings, that might be enough to sent you to the series.
I am pulling for Boston but I hope Schilling trips going down in the dugout and breaks his big toe.
I hate MLB. Ever since they went on strike, I haven't watched 9 innings. Hope they all lose. Rather watch soccer than this overblown tripe.

I hated the strike. Hated the NFL strike too. None were as bad as the NHL strike, which I did actually like some before they struck.
Sort of a valid point, if you're really a fan, you overlook stupidity.
I hated the strike. Absolutely hated it. But I didn't let it run me off. I was right back on the train the following season. I love baseball. I love watching the Cubs play baseball. Nothing will ever change that.
Will overlook stupidity, but not greed. To hell with MLB.

I must agree with Silent Bob on this one, you don't like baseball fine, ignore the posts then. You mentioned greed...so am I reading your statement correctly, you do not agree with the money market that the MLB has become correct? When did they start under paying all pro athletes? Poor Tiger Woods, heard he is about to sign up on foodstamps. I suppose the Manning Brothers are going to have to move in with Mom and Dad to help make ends meet as they are under paid as well.
MLB does not own the market on high dollar teams or over paid athletes. Nor are they the only sport to have ever gone out on strike.
